EII- Per. 4/6 discussion

Who is trying to convince or persuade in your book? How are they doing it? Is it working?

One of the characters named Horst is trying to convince the people at his home to not go after the people that burned down Eragon's house. He tells them that the people that burned down the house could throw you like a baby against the trees and leave you there for the wolves to eat.

In my book, 'What Teens Need to Succeed', the authors are giving me statistical facts and evidence of teens, my age, doing exactly what they say is correct and they appear to be emotionally stable, apparently, out of a study of 113 families, children who talked to their parents just even for 10 minutes a day about themselves or anything in general made them happier for a longer period of time.

Carter is trying to get it in with this big movie star who is 16 and has big breasts. He stared in a school play when a director of the movie came. He wanted carter to star in it due to his acting ability and he needs to spend as much time as he can with her. They were talking about the end of the movie; She asked if they should practice that scene and he was really shocked.

Uncle Leon is trying to convince Mookie to stop doing bad things and get his act together so he can become a good person. It is not working because Mookie just ignores what he says and tries changing the conversation.

Robbie is trying to convince her aunt AJ to fly to New York for her job and leave her alone until her visit is over. Robbie is giving her the "watery puppy eyes", and the "lip" while she is explaining to her aunt how she's responsible enough. It did work because she has the "cool" type of aunt that could trust easily.

Micks dad is trying to convince mick that he wasnt a failure and that even though he got cut from the NFL it was still an accomplishment.

Arsenal had a rough game last night against bayern. both teams missed a penalty kick but arsenal still went down 2-0. however The game that Arsenal showed in the first 15 minutes shows that arsenal can make a come back and overcome bayern.

In a part of my book, Brian had a dream, he saw people pointing at a fire. He didn't get it at all, but he kept seeing people point at the fire. It was his mom pointing at it. She trying to tell him and convince him to make a fire. It's working because he obviously needs fire when he's stranded in a place all alone without food.

Lias mom is trying to convince her to go see her therapist. And it is slowly working.

The philosophers with their ideas of thinking/living. By writing books and expanding their thoughts. Very few philosophers have their ideas spread, but those who do get their thoughts spread are known through history, so probably not.

My character in the book Death Sentence the warden is trying to get Alex to become a monster like the rest of them or he is going to die

Tris is trying to get Tobias to get him to join the revolution. Shes giving him facts on why he should join like they think more, they've done this before, etc.

In the book a director is trying to get military access to give hope to people.He is shot down many times about it.He was saying he had all his equipment and got his own things.When he finally had it he brought his oldest son to record a college fight against zombies.300 people were able to fight off 10,000 zombies.The video helped to give people hope when fighting off zombies.They start doing a few more and the military finally let them have access with they're weapons.

Kristina/Bree is trying to convince herself not to go back to the Monster now that she's pregnant, but it really didn't work. She tried to distract her mind by sitting in her room and looking out the window, which it didn't really work because since the Monster, which is crystal meth, is very hard to knock it and ended up slipping a couple times.

Janelle (Carley's older sister) is trying to convince Carley Kyle again in the hospital. Janelle is telling her the friendship she is losing. She is making her picture the fun thing she did with Kyle in the hospital.

Percy is trying to convince his girlfriend, Annabeth, that she's isn't a failure. He tries to give her hope by telling her that once the war is over they could start a life together in peace.

Mookie maybe doesn't repsect uncle leon. I wonder why...maybe he just thinks he's old and out of touch

Death sentence sounds raw as hell. Sounds like a rapper.

Gerald the main character is trying to persuade his Girlfriend not to run away with him . She goes with him anyways and they both go to Florida. The reason he wanted to go was ,because he wanted to leave home . He didn't succeed in his persuasion.

Doesn't it bother you how long it takes her to FINALLY get help? To me, it did - sooooo much, but I have to say; it's a good book~.

Why is Lias mom trying to get her to go to the therapist? Does she have personal problems? Anger problems?

I never read or heard about this book, but I think that this Horst guy is either really protective of his friends, or he is with the people that burned the Eragon's house because he doesn't want them to go after the people. You feel Katie?

What a coincidence, I just started reading a book about the science of happiness called "The Science Of Happiness."

I read World War Z, it's a pretty good book, it's crazy that they were able to take down all those zombies, how did they do it without having crazy weapons? How many people died when the military didn't give them the best of what they have?

Where is Eragon now and does he agree not to go after them?

These philosophers are trying to show what somethings are wrong with some people and society but they don't listen.

I think that Kristina/Bree shouldn't go to the Monster because she could get hurt

This reminds me of the time I tried to convince my aint to give me $80.

I think that Robbie is trying to get her aunt to leave so she can have a party or bring many friends over. I think this because she wants her to leave her alone till her visit is over.

It sounds like Mookie is really disrespectful to a person that really seems to care about him.

Kristina is going to realize that what she is doing in bad and will harm the baby. If she doesn't I think that she will have an overdose and she will have a miscarriage.

I know I wonder how they were able to secure themselves from the Zombies in a college area

Right?! It's messed up, but the ending is quite a twist.

Because he best friend just died and she thinks it will trigger her. And yea she's anorexic.

Yeah in the book he is slowly turning into one of the wardens monsters and he is almost convinced to become one

That's what I've been think while reading towards the end of the book.

He can't die he's one of seven main characters. No they will live forever with each other. Yes they are white.

Is this the series of Divergent? Based on the book Divergent I would expect this From Tris because she is a strong and powerful character. She so fierce she doesn't let anyone get in her way, and she usually gets what she wants.
