The riddle giver got angry and tried to kill the character. So the character tried to persuade but it did not work. They tried to use pathos to make the riddle giver feel stupid. Sounds like that some ethos stuff there- family.

Also, what powers? The power i'd pick is invisibility

That's sounds fishy? Get to know her? Ethos

Reminds the movie Rudy - football tryouts...

Most athletes should go to school in their hometown. FSU is title this year

message 26: by Isai (new)

Isai | 6 comments Jonathan wrote: "Lady Evanna is trying to persuade Mr. tall to not take any sides and to stay neutral."

Why doesn't she want him to take a side?

message 27: by Eddie (new)

Eddie Magana | 4 comments Jacqueline wrote: "Carter was trying to persuade this girl Hilary that he was cool and kind of popular, but he says he just wants to get to know her."

That sounds like he is up to something. He is using ethos because he tries to make himself look cool and popular.
I would never care whether a person is popular or not.

Geza Angel wrote: "The mom of the main character, tells her to leave the camp they are in and find another place to hide in."

Why/Who are they hiding from? Sounds like a logical persuasion.

message 30: by Jonathan (new)

Jonathan Henriquez | 3 comments Isai wrote: "The town wanted Warrick Dunn to attend LSU instead of Florida State because they said he should help out his hometown."

I think he should make his own decision on that team he wants to go to.

I have been witness about this on some relationships but how they say if he really loved her he would not pressure her to do something she does not want.

someone can can eat themselves to death? is that even possible ? and by how emotional butter sounds and how he wants to kill himself its pathos.

message 35: by Jorge (new)

Jorge Sanchez | 4 comments Jonathan wrote: "Lady Evanna is trying to persuade Mr. tall to not take any sides and to stay neutral."

Staying neutral is always the best thing because that way you don't have to take sides. Taking sides can not always be a good thing because sometimes you can lose friends and such.

message 36: by Patrick (new)

Patrick | 5 comments Ivan wrote: "Zia is trying to persuade sarah that she has powers. She is telling her that she is from a ancient family of people who do magic. She is starting to believe she has powers."

Sounds like some pathos, giving her facts. If I could have a power it would be teleporting.

Zack Urbaiak (zu20318) | 6 comments Isai wrote: "The town wanted Warrick Dunn to attend LSU instead of Florida State because they said he should help out his hometown."

Ivan | 3 comments Angel wrote: "The mom of the main character, tells her to leave the camp they are in and find another place to hide in."

This sounds like ethos because the mom knows about protecting her kids.
If i were the child i would listen and look for another place if we are hiding.

I think that's very depressing and gross. Eating him self isnt really a way to go about, im guessing he just wants attention and someone to reach out to him.

I just started reading this book on Tuesday and I am about to finish it. I love it and this part is not even close to the peak point. So far this is a great book.

Vanessa | 4 comments In my book the girl is trying to convince her self that those nightmares those dreams or visions are fake. She grew up and they started to slowly go away because she kept pushing them out of her mind. But when she was a teen they came back fierce then ever.

message 47: by Zack (new)

Zack Urbaiak (zu20318) | 6 comments In the story I read, there was a woman who lived in a deserted area and with no one but her. She heard a knock at the door and there was a voice "let me in". she refused numerous times, then the voice repeating the words "let me in" overpoured her and convinced her to open the door. There was no one there. But then, there was a small voice behind her that whispered into her ear "Thank-you"

message 48: by Jorge (new)

Jorge Sanchez | 4 comments The story I read today was about how groups of people are worrying about the safety of the spectators when they go to sporting events or concerts. They are saying how the go through minimal security checks and that some people just don't feel satisfied with them. In my opinion they have a point because we don't want to go out and not feel safe with a big group of people.
