[SPOILER ALERT!]
I think the first book was simply incredible, but there were some flaws. I think Tris was a bit too too ignorant when she left the Abnegation. It might be just me, but suddently she changed her personality. She wanted to be brave, like the ones in Dauntless.
And when she killed Will, she made such a HUGE deal about it. She just thought about him. She just left her family, and kept thinking about Will (not saying he isn't important, he was a nice character).
Even though with these flaws, Divergent was amazing. Even better than The Hunger Games, in my opinion. Maybe the philosophy behind THG might change my mind (there's a book about it; I'm excited to read it), but still... The first book of the Divergent series is awesome. Over my expectations.

I see your point, I didn't think about it like that. But now since you mentioned I agree, I think Tris overreacted when she killed Will. I mean didn't she want to be in Dauntless?
Yes, she did, but she wasn't sure. I think when she chose Dauntless, she kind of... Changed her personality. Suddently she wanted to face any challenge, and that caused trouble.
Will was her friends d though. He didn't know what he was doing. One of them was going to die either way
