Matthew fingered one of his hunting knives strapped to his hip. He could hear the groans of the undead, and it made him uneasy. The rotting stench hung in the air and made Matthew gag. The survivors needed food, and he was determined to get them some. Silently, Matthew lifted his head over the aisle he was crouched behind and found his target: the canned soup. After taking in a deep breath, Matthew dove into the next aisle. No new sounds came.
