message 2: by Emily (new)

Emily Wren sat cross-legged on her bed, an open history book was propped next to her. Sammi was curled up on the floor and music lilted from her iPod dock as she sat on her laptop reading a surfing blog.

message 3: by Libby (new)

Libby It was 9:10 and J.T. finally called her. He was skating around town waiting for her to pick up. He couldn't stop smiling he was excited for her to answer. He didn't know what he wanted to talk to her about he honestly just wanted someone to talk to.

message 4: by Emily (new)

Emily Wren's phone buzzed over on her desk. Jumping up from her bed she checked it, not recognizing the number she let it go straight to voice mail.

message 5: by Libby (new)

Libby When J.T. was sent to voicemail he bit his lip. He hated leaving voicemails but he decided to anyways, "Uh hey Wren...it's J.T. I dont know if you remember me you probably meet a lot of guys youre really pretty and stuff but I ran into you today when I was skateboarding...we talked for a little and I said I would call you so...i called. Um yea just call me back if you can, i mean if you really even want to. Bye." J.T. ended the voicemail and thought 'well that was the most awkward voicemail ever'

message 6: by Emily (new)

Emily Wren's phone beeped from over on her desk, signaling a new message. She got up again and plucked the device up. Dialing in the pass code, she waited patiently for the message to play. When J.T.'s voice greeted her, she couldn't help but grin at how flustered her sounded. She felt bad for not answering when he called but didn't mind calling him back. She hit redial and put the phone to her ear, waiting for him to pick up.

message 7: by Libby (new)

Libby J.T. phone started buzzing and he quickly answered on the second ring, "Hello." an eager voice said "I thought you weren't gonna talk to me...sorry the voicemail was so awkward and weird, I don't like leaving voicemails." he laughed lightly. He was still skating around town, he was in the downtown area you could hear the commotion of people and dinner ares behind him. The clinking of glasses and the talking of people.

message 8: by Emily (last edited Feb 19, 2014 09:08PM) (new)

Emily "Whoa, dude, chill," Wren laughed, "Everyone sucks at leaving voicemails," In the background, Wren could hear the sounds of laughter, music, and clinking glasses. J.T. was obviously still downtown and his voice was a bit shaky, indicating that he was still on his board. "So, what's this big surprise that's gonna make up you running over me?" She asked tauntingly.

message 9: by Libby (new)

Libby Laughing J.T. said "I can' tell you...remember its a surprise. You will need a swimsuit and casual clothes for later though." J.T. waited a few seconds, "I hope you like it...what are you doing?"

message 10: by Emily (new)

Emily "So you say..." Wren let her voice trail off as she was thinking about all the activities in town that involved a swim suit. She dropped down on her bed again. "Studying," She sighed flipping aimlessly through the textbook.

message 11: by Libby (new)

Libby "Studying?" He laughed the word a little "I don't study. I don't think is much of a point to it. Unless it's something you're interested in. What are you studying and do you like it?"

message 12: by Emily (new)

Emily "Ugh, history and I hate it," Wren groaned, laying on her back, staring at the ceiling. "I've decided to actually try this semester, though, and I stick to my decisions, so there is no going back." Of course she regretted her choice, but she was loyal and didn't back out on anything.

At this point in their conversation, Wren was getting the feeling that J.T. was almost desperate to talk... it made her wonder what his home life was like because she had seen him with a bunch of his friends that afternoon.

message 13: by Libby (new)

Libby "I don't know if you don't like it, it just isn't worth it, at least that's my opinion. People are always forced to do things they don't want to do, we should only do what makes us happy. But it's never like that." J.T. sighed, "But I mean it's pretty cool that you're so determined, at least I think it's cool."

message 14: by Emily (new)

Emily Wren thought about what he said, "Yeah, I guess you're right, but in the grand scheme of things it'll help me out in the future," She said, running a hand through her hair.

message 15: by Libby (new)

Libby "Depends on what you do with your future." J.T. said with a confident voice, he had been skating forever and was getting close and closer to his house. He lived in the worse part of town. He stopped for a second to say something to a friend of his, he mumbled because he didn't want Wren to know where he was but his friend was a little loud and reply and just by how his friend talked you could tell he was in the ghetto. He started skating away from his friend "So what do you want to be when you grow up?"

message 16: by Emily (new)

Emily "The dreaded question!" Wren exclaimed, holding back another groan. "I have 100% no clue," She admitted, covering her eyes with the back of her hand. All this thinking of the future was giving her a headache.

message 17: by Libby (new)

Libby J.T. laughed, "Don't beat yourself up about it, I don't really know what I wanna do either. I just go with the flow I guess. I'm not much of a school person so I don't really think I'm going far. All my neighbors think I'm just a stupid kid and a mess of a child...like I have motivation to want to become something, but at the same time I could care less. Is that weird?" He waiting a few seconds "This sounds weird but I feel like you should be a marine biologist."

((im gonna go to bed, i will come back on tomorrow))
