I've read three of his books : Fault in Our Stars, Looking For Alaska and Paper Towns and loved all of them!!! Though I have to say FiOS is by far my favorite.

What do u think is special in his writing???

Kassandra | -1 comments I'm new to John Green but so far I have read An Abundance of Katherines and The Fault in our Stars. I loved both books but for different reasons. Overall, I would say I loved AAOK more because it held more humour in the personalities of the main characters. For me, he's a special writer because of the way in which he gets you to connect with his characters: quickly, completely and obsessively.

Amber (amberterminatorofgoodreads) The Fault in our stars is a pretty good read.

Amber (amberterminatorofgoodreads) No problem Ruchi. I tried reading it on my tablet but the text was too small for a PDF file. :)

Tara Brown (taralynn_80) | 62 comments I have enjoyed both John Green books I have read, Looking For Alaska and TFIOS. I may be alone in my opinion on this but his novels seem to read like the YA version of Nicholas Sparks. With the exception that the humor Green places in the characters is a relief in the midst of the tragedy that the novel is surrounded by. I prefer Green over Sparks for sure. It's just the structure of the novels being romance with tragic, sobbing ending. But I'm a sucker for those kind of books, I do love a good cry every now and then. Looking forward to reading more of his books and seeing if the pattern continues.

Amy | 106 comments So far An Abundance of Katherines is the only Green book I just could not force myself to read, his writing style in that book just was not for me, but I love TFiOS, Looking for Alaska and (so far) Paper Towns. I really love his style and humour - you can tell the guy has tumblr!

message 16: by Dezra (new)

Dezra Bennett (dezra_bennett) I havent read any of his books, but I took a chance and ordered his book, The Fault In Our Stars, since I thought this seemed to bbe the most well liked. Did I make the right choice? What book of his is your favorite?

message 17: by Julie (new)

Julie My favorite of his is The Fault in Our Stars but I enjoyed Looking for Alaska too. Paper Towns is next on my list.

message 18: by Jackie (new)

Jackie | 14 comments This a late post but I just finished The Fault in Our Stars. I requested it from the library but just received it last week. I loved it for many reasons: the language, the mixture of humor and sadness. I enjoyed his approach to storytelling. It is a little dramatic/tragic, but that's what I love about YA literature. It is a nice break from reading the classics. I want to read Paper Towns next.

message 19: by Margrethe (new)

Margrethe | 1 comments So I just started reading The Fault in Our Stars, and I like it already! When I read a good book thats being made into a film, I am ALWAYS the last one to watch the film. So I wonder, are you guys gonna watch TFiOS when it comes out?

I'm not sure if I'm going to see it or not. I absolutely loved the book (although I warn you, you WILL cry), and I'm not sure if the film will be able to do it justice.

I expect I'll decide after I get people's opinions of it.

message 21: by Shawna (new)

Shawna Finnigan (sugoishawn) I honestly can't get into John Green. I've tried so hard but his writing style just isn't for me.
