( T )he best fro-yo place in Aster

Vivian walks in and orders a mango sorbet.

Jess walked into the Fro-Yo place. She had ten dollars in her pocket that she had earned cleaning the neighbor's garage. She glanced at the menu for a second, eventually deciding on plain vanilla.

Vivian picks up a purple spoon and digs into her sorbet. She glances up at the girl who just walked in and tilts her head. She walks over and smiles softly. "Hi!" she says.

"Hi," Jess said back. She took a bite of her yogurt. "Do you need something?" She asked with a mouthful of fro-yo.

Vivian shakes her head and takes a bite of her sorbet. "Nope, just wanted to say hi!" she says with a smile. "My name's Vivian."

"I'm Jess." She said. She looked at Vivian with an expression that was half I'm-confused-you-just-walk-up-to-random-people-and-say-hello-are-you-not-aware-of-how-dangerous-that-is-I-could-be-a-serial-killer-for-all-you-know and half you're-kinda-pretty-so-I-don't-really-mind

Vivian smiles with an expression that said if-you-were-a-serial-killer-i'd-be-fine-with-that-cause-you're-kinda-cute "Nice to meet you, Jess!"

Jess smiled back. She went and sat down at a table, basically just assuming that Vivian was going to follow her. Usually, she wouldn't have stayed, but something about this girl was intriguing.

Vivian follows Jess, sitting down across from her. She takes a bite of her sorbet and smiles at Jess. "So....."

Jess shrugged. "So...?" she said, eating some of her fro-yo. "What house are you in? I'm in Nightfall. Apparently we're supposed to be good at magic, but..." she shrugged again. "I almost made something explode last time."

Vivian nods. "I'm in Nightfall too. I'm average, I guess, but I get distracted easily." she says, eating some of her fro-yo.

"Huh," Jess said. She finished her yogurt and threw the tub away. "Well, I'll see you around," She told Vivian, turning to leave the shop.

Vivian throws away her tub and thinks for a moment. "If you're not busy, I was going to see a movie. Maybe you could join me?" she suggests.

"Uh..." Jess stopped for a moment. "Sure! What move?" She asked. Oh jeez did she just ask me out? I think she did. Her brain finally just resorted to internal screaming, which Jess didn't really appreciate.

Vivian's internal screaming was not helpful as she tried to think of what movies were in theaters. Why did I do that? What movie should I do? No romance, that's too much for me to handle. Maybe a sci-fi? Definitely not horror. She kinda short-circuited as she said (my favorite movie ever) "Love, Simon?"

"Sounds good!" Jess said. "I've been wanting to see that one!" You've been wanting to see that one? Seriously? You couldn't have possible said anything more cheesy? Her brain said. You could probably make a movie with the level of cheesiness going on right now.

Jess told her brain to shut up.

"Great! I'm sure you'll love it! I watched it a while ago." Vivian says. Dude, you've watched the movie every Friday since 2018. You can act out over half of the movie down to facial expressions by memory. Vivian didn't say anything about that and silently willed her brain to stop talking.

Vivian walks in the direction of the movie theatre, glancing back to see if Jess was following.
