The Shining Girls by Lauren Beukes - it wasn't my favorite book, but the subject matter is right up King's alley!
I know it's not fiction, but a pretty creepy and engaging read nonetheless is Manson: The Life and Times of Charles Manson by Jeff Guinn. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...
The Ring Trilogy by Koji Suzuki. He's been referred to as the Japanese Stephen King, and it would be interesting to see what the man himself thinks of the comparison.
part time librarian wrote: "the passage by Justin Cronin but he probably already has."we read it last year. :-)

That one is on my TBR list so I will second it. :-)
The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt. I believe SK has already read it, but I think it will spark some interesting conversations within the group.
How about Chuck Wendig's Blackbirds. It gritty and rough like King's books, but would be considered a short story in comparison to The Stand or some of the others. I liked it.
