Yeah, I heard it's good, maybe a bit old-fashioned but I really like such books :) I also heard that Dodie Smith is compared to Lucy Maud Montgomery, have you read her "Anne from Green Gables"? I'm really looking forward to read "I capture the castle"!
Thanks, Trinity! :) I'm doing my best to read more than last year but it's really hard due to my studies, there's also a lot to read and sometimes I'm simply fed up with reading when I'm back home. Anyway, I hope my goal is achievable this year :)

I'm reading Cinder right now and I totally agree with you, James! I've read about half of the book but I already love it :)
Finished #9 book - I Capture the Castle. What an amazing book! And wonderful ending, I absolutely love it! It will be one of my favourite books.Currently reading:
Finished #11 book - The Winter Palace: A Novel of Catherine the Great.Very good book, I could almost feel this cold Russia and unpleasant atmosphere in the Winter Palace. I really recommend it.

Thanks, Laurel :) Just like you, I usually try to alternate heavy and easy reads but in summer I prefer easy ones.
I'm a fan of Agatha Christie books but I know not everyone like her. I recommend Joanne Harris, Fannie Flagg, Cecelia Ahern, if you like crime books - Boris Akunin. Now I also recommend The Fault in Our Stars - but it's not an easy one :)
