I've just started reading Last Sacrifice. I'm on page five. I know it's going to be much better than Spirit Bound. A lot of things about Spirit Bound annoyed me. In my opinion Spirit Bound is a combination of Vampire Academy and Blood Promise. Spirit Bound had too many plot points.

Spirit Bound has a few plot points that involves prison cells (went on far too long) and then the story continues in Vegas. Spirit Bound seems more connected to Vampire Academy than a continuation to Blood Promise. I thought that made the story weaker than Blood Promise. A less energetic premise than Vegas would've been better. Spirit Bound had emotion but it needed more intensity like Blood Promise. What I enjoyed about the Vegas premise, is that it allowed Victor and Robert Doru to escape Rose, Lissa, and Eddie. Vegas is so energetic and busy. I think that's why Richelle Mead chose Vegas after Rose, Lissa, and Eddie broke Victor out of prison. The three plot points I liked the most about Spirit Bound is Lissa turning Dimitri back to a Dhampir, Rose graduating, and Rose, Lissa, and Eddie breaking Victor out of prison. I like that Adrian found Rose's location by tracking the credit cards he gave her.

Same about the Vegas premise. I like it too.
You rock Rose. I believe the vegas premise was the closest the characters were to the outside world. You know, outside of the Academy.
