X-Men discussion

So, this week I decided to buy only comics that I'd been meaning to try and X-men #10 ( the all girl group) announced a brand new arc...

That was a mess.
the people on the cover don't do much, there's 14 other X-characters involved, of which about three get identified, the new arc is smack dab in the middle of some other big story and no one was written distinctly enough so you could tell half of them apart.

How was that a jumping on point? Shame, as I'd heard good things about Wood and thought the X-women idea would be interesting.

Are all the X-titles just mushed together and they assume you are reading all 32 of them?

Bendis is a good at street level characters. I really enjoyed his Ultimate Spider-man.
I don't really think he's good at big and cosmic and his current obsession with time travel isn't working for me.

I like time travel as much as the next guy, but not as the center of every big comic book story.
Mix it up a little. Fight a guy who is trying to rob a bank, just for the novelty of it.

Reading a recent issue that featured Madalyne Pryor and filled in some of her history...yikes!
The Summers family history is insane!
