Has anyone who joined the group after the beginning got any further with The Sea Change? Feel free to start your own thread here.

The question is still unanswered:

Is the tsunami storyline much weaker than the WWII storyline? And does it matter?

(The consensus so far: it *is* weaker but without it, the whole story would collapse - so it's easy to forgive. And maybe it's less of an insult for the tsunami storyline and more of a compliment to the WWII storyline -- it's just so strong.)

It matters insofar as I found this thread less credible and rather boring, and so it lessened my overall enjoyment of the book.
