Any books to suggest of this genre?

Romance with a contemporary setting.

Constance Bretes I recently read The First Love Cookie Club by Lori Wilde and it was an enjoyable read. I didn't care much for a few of the other ones she has out, but I did enjoy this one.

Thanks Connie! I'll keep this book in mind!

message 4: by Katie (new)

Katie (katiemccoach) I recommend The Publicist by Christina George - such a fun read (and sexy)!

message 5: by Srividya (new)

Srividya Vijapure (theinkedmermaid) I am not sure again if this is the right category but I will still go ahead and suggest it here. These are general romance books/series that I believe you should read. One is Robyn Carr and her Virgin River Series. it is truly wonderful. You will definitely like it. It is a series of 20 books but absolute easy reads. She has also started writing another series called the Thunderpoint series, which is again wonderful.

Another is Marie Force and her The McCarthys of Gansett Island series. This again is a wonderful read. Her Fatal and Green Mountain (which is a new one) is also a good read.

Jill Shalvis and her Lucky Harbor series is also a good read.

Bella Andre and her Sullivans series is also good.

Andrea (alexandra14) | 1146 comments A lovely story in this category is Friend-Zoned (Friend-Zoned, #1) by Belle Aurora . It has it's flaws but still the author managed to make a sweet and funny story.

I read about 70% of the book. The heroine seemed very childish at times, but the story really is quite funny.

Yes that and a few other things was what bothered me too, but I think that the author had a great idea. It's a shame she didn't managed to do a perfect book.

If you're a fan of cool and strong heroines and love good grovelling scenes, then go for Can't Let Go by A.P. Jensen .
One of my favourite lines from the book,"Don’t placate me!” she bellowed. “Go find a damsel in distress because I’m not it. I’ll never be that girl. Ever since I was old enough to understand that my mom didn’t care about me I learned to fend for myself and that won’t change so if you want to throw a fit because I won’t come to you with my problems- tough!” You gotta love a heroine like that. You can check my review of it, but it has spoilers so read it after you finish the book.

I read My Sunshine by Catherine Anderson. And it was a wonderful book. Highly recommended for those who can't resist a handsome and kindhearted vet, and a disabled but lovely heroine with a golden touch when it comes to animals :)

Maybe This Time by Jennifer Crusie There's a paranormal twist in the book, it was otherwise the typical Crusie book.

Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover My first time reading Colleen Hoover, and even though I appreciated the writing and the characters the inta-attraction, at least on the heroine's part was sorely disappointing.
