The Twin Kingdoms discussion

Background:
Eighteen years ago after much trying, the Queen became pregnant. She had had a hard pregnancy and barely survived the birth of their child. It was a beautiful baby girl. It was practice in this land to have an oracle prophecy at a child's birth. The oracle came a few days later and what she saw troubled her. She told the King and Queen that they needed to send her away in order to save the land for the sake of the land. Queen Kyria was heartbroken and never recovered, but she followed her husband's decision to send her child away. They were told only that the child would return when she chose to leave her world and when the realms needed her most.

Many years past and nothing bad happened. The Queen became angry and blamed her husband and the oracle for sending her daughter away. She became bitter and eventually she was no longer the benevolent Queen the kingdom loved. She could no longer have children and she could not stand the King so she was alone except her body guard. The Queen decided to have her revenge. She took over the eastern portion of the Kingdom with an iron fist. The subjects are loyal to her except for a few who have formed an underground resistance. The King was heartbroken, but eventually remarried in order to have an heir because he had lost faith that he would ever see his daughter again. The Queen is now wanting the whole kingdom for herself in retaliation, but she has no real claim on the throne except for.... their child.

Currently, the Queen is training her soldiers to take the other side of the country. She is also involved in espionage. She is bitter against all Oracles because she blames them for the loss of her daughter along with the King.

The King has remarried and is expecting a new baby. He is anticipating the Queen's attack and also has his own spies.

The Oracle is not the oracle that prophesied the princess's future. She is the successor. She is lives in the local village and no one knows she is the Oracle except the King and Queen Rosalie and a few close advisers.

The Princess has just fell into the Enchanted Forest where she will be met by a unbiased guide to help her on her journey. This person will not have any motives to sway her to either side.

Queen Rosalie is expecting a baby. She has been married to the King for a few years now and has adjusted to her role for the most part. See her charrie for personality.

The villagers are mostly content except for the underground resistance in Queen Kyria's side of the Kingdom.

The soldiers are extra vigilant at this time due to the possible war. They are training and being housed in the castles.

The servants lives go on like normal. There are ladies maids, butlers, cooks, groomsmen, footmen, and many others. They live in the attics of the castle and have their own separate halls to get around the castle. Their rooms can be created under the Servants folder. Remember keep them simple. It is the Victorian era.

The mystical creatures do not concern themselves much with human affairs. They just look after themselves and the land. Some have chosen sides.


Things to remember when creating characters:
This is like the Victorian era. There is a hierarchy. The King and Queen, advisors to the king and queen, nobles of the court, visiting dignitaries, and so on. Please make sure you when roleplaying to address other charries according to their status and remember your own as well. Visiting dignitaries do not have as much power as they would in their own kingdom. Also, this realm is not in contact with "Earth" It has no concept of their inventions, society, etc.

Can my character Enjolras run the underground resistance?
