Book Lair discussion

I noticed this movie is out, based on Gillian Flynn's book.

I think I may watch it, but I have not read the book.

Has anyone read the book and/or watched the movie? What are your thoughts on either?

I have enjoyed each of her books. She has this uncanny knack of writing characters I not only don’t identify with, but actively dislike, yet still find compelling. They’re very real. I think it will make a great movie. Gone Girl sure did!

Yes, that is exactly why I think I would like those books - feeling engaged by characters I don't even like! It is awesome when an author can achieve that.

Hmm I think I may actually watch the movie soon.

So I ended up watching it and did not enjoy it much, I'm afraid.

I've read the book, but not seen the movie. I probably will, but not until it is available for free on Netflix or something. I won't PAY for it. Thanks Ana! Saved me some money.
