Undead & UnRead Book Club - Frisco Public Library discussion

Should start this one Wednesday. I checked there are two sequels out Scarlet and Cress.

Ready to start Cinder...its not here yet....

It looks like there are four books planned for the series and three are already out. It looks like Winter is the 4th book and is scheduled for release in February 2015.

Saw that people were searching for the fourth book.

If only the second book in the Throne of the Crescent Moon series were out... ;)

Finished Cinder. It took almost exactly 100 pages to really interest me but then it took off like a rocket...by that time I had figured out the whole story and was wrong on 3 points. Interested in continuing the series but since book 4 won't be out until 2015 (little vague) I'm in no hurry.

Amy broke me down. :( I should finish The Sisters Brothers tonight at the latest tomorrow afternoon so I got Scarlet the second book in the Lunar Chronicles.

Didn't finish The Sisters Brothers until this morning, who knew Diablo III on nightmare level would take so long and now there is an inferno level?, but I digress. The preview of Scarlet in the back of Cinder doesn't start in the beginning of Scarlet in case any of you go on. Also do not skip Glitches. It is well worth the read.

Scarlet was really good. Debating about going on to Cress but Winter doesn't come out until next year.

So how closely do you think the story of Cinder mirrored the fairy tale Cinderella? What made this retelling unique or interesting to you?
