(Ash) "Oh and Hello to you, too!" I say to the second person today who has yelled at be for parking my car awkwardly. I was never great at parking. I go into the cafe and order a peppermint mocha, They always cheer me up. I see a guy who looks miserable staring at his coffee. If I am going to be miserable I might as well do it with other people. "Hi!" I say as i sit in front of him.

"I couldn't help but notice you looked sad. What's up? " I smile. " Oh and I'm Ash."

"Because I'm not feeling so great, either," I make faces at him since he won't look at me.

"Of course it matters! And I just have not had a great day. I got into a argument with my brother, and got yelled at by two strangers for not parking correctly."

I laugh. "Not really. Depends on who I'm talking too."

"Yup. Just got here yesterday," I say. "So, what's your name stranger?"

"Adventure, mostly. why are you?"

"Yeah. That's why my brother is pissed. He told me not to come. Long story, as well." I sip my mocha.

"I think so. I like it here. But what you said before, I take it you have a sibling? Cause if you don't you got it spot on."

"What happened??" I ask.

"Other side of the world. Getting ready for war. He's, uh, in the military." I say, not sure if Derek would like me telling him.

"Uh, he's a air-force pilot."

I smile. "What force were you going to join? It would have been a completely different experience from this place, for sure."

"Very nice!" I smile. "I think you and Derek would get along really well. That's all he seemed to talk about. But I learned a lot about it that way."

"Yeah." I look at him. "I finally got you smiling, what happened?"

I spot Jack and walk over, catching sight of another girl. I nodded polietly at her, and looked at Jack. "You wanted to talk?"

I stare at him and wave bye to the chick.

"Yeah, okay." I say, when I see a guy come to our table. I smile." Some other time them." I stand up and go back outside, hop in my car and drive away.

(Karter) I walk in, order a coffee, and sit down. I take a sit, and think of my little sister, Daphne.

I enter the cafe, adjustin the strap of my book bag. I order a coffee and blueberry muffin. I walk up to a table.
"May I sit here?" I ask the perso sitting there.

I look up and see a young girl, I smile. "Course, young'in."

"Thanks." I sit down, and pull a book out of my bag. My phone buzzes and I pick it up.

I sip my coffee, again. "So what's your name?"

"Zuzu." I answer. My name sounds exotic, and girlish. "What about you?" I know I shouldn't pry, but I do anyway

"Nice!" I smile. "I'm Karter. So how old are ya?"

"14." I drink my coffee, and swing my hair over one shoulder. I grin cockily, for no reason.

I nod. "That's what I guessed. I'm 18."

"Nice." I can't wait until i'm 18. Heck, i can't wait to be 15. "Come here often?" I ask.

I raise my eyebrow. "Uh no. First time actually. You?"

"Third. I haven't been here long." Isay

"Me either, only a few days."

"Were are you from?" I ask.

"Ventura County, Cali. Yes, Ventura like Ace Ventura." I smile.

I laugh a little "I'm from New york city." I offer.

"Nice! What part?"

"Uhh, the city?" I offer. "Iv'e lived other places too, Colorado, Minnesota, even New Mexico. My dad always traveled, and I went with him. But most recently, before here, NYC."

"I've only been to LA, Las Vegas, and Hawaii. Really, I go where the music goes." I chuckle.

"You like music?" I perk up. "What kind?"

"All kinds. but I mostly just play acoustic pop." I grin.

"Nice. What instruments?" I always wanted to play an instrument but with moving all the time, there were never time for lessons.

"Guitar and a little piano. You know how?"

"Nah. We moved too much to have time for lessons." I say. "But it's fine. Traveling was a great treat."

"Yup, I love traveling. I'm jealous you got to do it often!"

I laugh. "Yeah. It's kind of nice to settle though. Finally make some friends here."

I smile. "So this is where you stop traveling?" I ask.
