HOW TO ROLEPLAY(Yes, I wrote this originally, and then copied it and changed it to fit this group.)
A roleplay is a place where each person plays a character (or several of them) and all the people playing the characters get together and write a story, except each person only plays their characters.
Here are some rules that will help it be easier to read:
1) If you are typing in the roleplay, but not typing part of the story, you type in double parentheses like this:
Shallowstream skipped down the sparkling road towards the river. ((hi! today is my birthday!!))
2) When roleplaying, type in third person, unless you're in a special roleplay where you type in second person or first person. Third person is like this:
Shallowstream sat down and thought about her day.
Second person is like this:
You sat down and thought about your day.
First person is like this:
I sat down and thought about my day.
3) When roleplaying, type in past tense unless you're in a special roleplay for present or future tense. Past tense is like this:
Shallowstream stretched and licked her paws, watching the twolegs suspiciously.
Present tense is like this:
Shallowstream stretches out and licks her paws, watching the twolegs suspiciously.
Future tense is like this: (I have never seen a roleplay in future tense)
Shallowstream will stretch out and lick her paws, watching the twolegs suspiciously.
4) When roleplaying, try to use correct grammar, punctuation, and capitalization. It makes it easier to read.
5) You're not allowed to control other peoples' characters. You may not realize it, but that's what you're doing if you say something like:
(you are Bluear and someone else is Shallowstream)
Bluear waved her paw. When Shallowstream looked up, Bluear said, "Hi."
The person playing Shallowstream might not have had her look up when Bluear waved her paw. In fact, they may have wanted Shallowstream to rudely ignore Bluear.
6) Your character can't be all-powerful or better than everyone else unless you're in a roleplay where that's allowed. (and there are roleplays where that is allowed)
7) When battling, I find that it works best to type small amounts such as:
Bluear swiped a paw towards Shallowstream's eye.
and then you would let the other person say something like,
Shallowstream blocked her and rolled over Bluear, hissing and scratching as she prepared to bite.
That way the other person as the option to say whether or not you succeeded in hitting them or whatever ;)
8) When you start roleplaying in a clan, make sure you say what clan you'll be in. You can either do:
((Ice)) Silverlight looked around.
or
Ice: Silverlight looked around.
Or something like that.
9) (sp?) means you aren't sure about the spelling. Like you would say:
Shallowstream walked through the forrest(sp?).
10) Kits can NOT have crushes or mates. Think of your three-year-old brother getting married to the next door neighbor's 3-month-old baby.
questions?
Yes, I wrote it several months ago in the Go Harry Potter and Twilight group, and I just edited all the names and stuff to make it like warriors.
ok, please add that kit's CAN NOT have a crush/mate. that has come up and gave us a big problem. (I wasn't here at that time but it gave the others problems.)

in my group an apprentice had kits...
in my group an apprentice had kits...
That's third person, present tense. (Trust me, I'm a grammar freak and I've taken a little latin.)Just like:
Amo, amas, amat, amamus, amatis, amant.
Amo is I love, that's first person singular.
Amas is you love, that's second person singular
Amat is he/she/it loves, that's third person singular
Amamus is we love, that's first person plural
Amatis is you love, second person plural like Y'all love, you all love, not just one person.
Amant is They love, third person plural.
All the tenses in the grammar book I happened to find lying around - Present tense (I am, you are, he is)
Past tense (I was, you were, he was)
Future tense (I shall be, you will be, he will be)
Present perfect tense (I have been, you have been, he had been)
Past perfect tense (I had been, you had been, he had been)
Future perfect tense (I shall have been, you will have been, he will have been)
And then there's simple, progressive, and emphatic....
When you send me a friend request it will tell you that I'm trying to only be friends with people I know in real life, sorry.
It's okay I understand but do you want to join the Everything Cats club You can be a moderator if you want
No not really, sorry. I've sort of... lost interest in roleplaying cats, and am having a hard enough time doing it in Warriors Lovers. And I'm rather irritated at one of my cats right now.
Do you want to join my dragon group?
Hiyas, Mind if I call you green instead?
I answered that in the other place you posted it.

Please don't stop! You'll be sorry when you get to real roleplay. Every person makes the roleplay. Invite any friends that are interested in roleplay to join this group and start! We would appreciate it.
