Just started the book, though it was very interesting how it started out in my favorite style going from the present and having flashbacks (May be a little confusing). It starts out with a completely normal world and then reports show a disease called african Rabies that may be caused by animals. When it start out-breaking the first time when she identified a dead body still moving under a rock that would have killed it then a zombie girl shows up outside of a small village somewhere in Asia. Finally reports say that people should start to exit the city and get to neutral places. Didn't want to spoil it for you guy so go ahead and read it whenever you can.

I haven't read this book very recently so I don't have much to contribute with specifics but I loved this book. I liked the movie too (Even though it had fast zombies)but it didn't really have a lot in common with the book. I'd love to see the book done more faithfully as an HBO miniseries or something like that.
An HBO mini-series would be awesome or even a Walking Dead type series w/ multiple season, even better! I didn't bother w/ the movie because I found out before release, through interviews w/ Brooks etc., that it had ZERO to do w/ the book other than having the same title! I have read 100s of zombie books & short stories & WWZ & something I found online called "MALLVILE" are my top 2 books of all time in the genre! Mallville is a blog, I guess, & it's by Void Munashii, if you love zombie fiction Google Mallville!!
I enjoyed the movie, but do not consider it related to the book at all. If they had given it a different title I think people would have been much happier with it. It was nice to see a zombie movie with a big enough budget to do the large scale scenes well. A mini-series or yearly searies would be awesome and fit perfectly with the style of the book.
Hey guys,
I’m reaching out to you because I see you are zombie fans. My latest novel called Shamblers is a zombie apocalypse horror/action story.I thought you might like to check it out. I really could use reviews and would be happy to send you a free copy if you're willing to post a review for it. If you want to supply your email, I'll send you a copy as soon as I receive it. Thanks

OK. I had seen the movie WWZ before I got to read the book, and to be honest I was completely discouraged from reading the book at all because I was not thrilled about the movie... WWZ was one of those books where I LOVED it when I thought I would hate it. This book really got me into the whole aspect of viewing the zombie apocalypse from not one view, but from many views!
With that said, I starting looking into more literature of the same design and found "Divide Then Conquer:Zombie Company Crusade Series" on Amazon (e-book) so far only parts 1-3 are out.
I throughly enjoyed it and it has the same multiple POV aspect to it as WWZ.
P.S. After I read WWZ the first thing i thought was that it should be a mini series!!! I wonder if The Walking Dead might of taken that kind of spotlight it was looking for?
A TV series would be great. World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War has so much to offer in story lines. They could also include stories from Closure, Limited and The Zombie Survival Guide: Recorded Attacks. I'd love to see footage of boot camp/basic training where the survivors are being taught the information from The Zombie Survival Guide: Complete Protection from the Living Dead.
