Samuel | 735 comments Hex had been working nonstop for a few days now. After a while of staying awake you reach a stage that you just can't fall back to sleep. Hex hadn't slept for three days. The old insomnia was creeping up on him again. He motioned for a servant to get him more caffeinated tea. Hex knew he would kill himself by sleep deprivation at this rate. Even before, when Hex could fall asleep. He would always be lucid in his dreams. He would work there, in a dream version of his laboratory. Sometimes he's just stare at the chalkboard in his dreams. A large hand would write out equations on the board that turned out to be valid. But he had barely scraped the tip of the iceberg of his work. He had much, much more to do. And soon he would need a human sample. He immediately began work on a letter that he handed to one of his more trustworthy servants. Who immediately left the room ready for his long journey to Mirkwood.

Samuel | 735 comments Sleep finally came to him a few days later. He was, of course, lucid. Being lucid he shut down his dreaming to gain the most possible rest. He woke 29 hours later. The messenger should be at Aerin's Manor by now. Hex wiped his eyes on the edge of his bed and stood. He maintained a deep sleep for 29 hours, impressive he thought. He could barely ever sleep for 2 hours before. He put on his clothes and had his breakfast. It was one of the perks of being treated like a lord. Servants at every corner. He motioned for one of them to get him tea and resumed his work.

Samuel | 735 comments Sleep then came in waves. Unstoppable. As this became more frequent. Hex began losing the ability to differentiate dreams from reality. It was all just work work WORK! He slammed his fist on the table. It went clean through and the table went flying in the air. Well I guess that means I'm in a dream... He sat there. With his mind wandering. Why am I even doing this? I don't even have anything back at home! WHY?!?! He pulled out a knife and stabbed himself in the heart. And his head popped up. It was a dream, well he knew that. He knew that wouldn't kill him. What was this madman trying to gain? Oddly enough he felt a wave of nostalgia go through him. He didn't know what he was referencing when he said "No. This time will be different! This time, it's not just work! I'm going to have some fun!" He said. Standing up. He walked over to his table and cleared it off. He picked up a knife identical to that of Aerin's...Aerin! Ah yes he is still on that ridiculous hunt. He sheathed the knife and put on a comfortable traveling cloak. Embroidered with a skull wearing a Jester's hat. Let's go have some fun.

((Time to wreak havoc on Middle Earth))

Samuel | 735 comments Hex set out for Bree. Intent on making at least one family go insane. Bree was a suitable choice. More of a large town than a city, it would suffice.
