Nordic Noir discussion

Has anyone heard anything about the English rights for his books? They seem to be doing well on the European circuit.

Never heard of him. Looks like one I would be interested in hearing more from.

He's the only Finn to win the Glass Key (Ystävät kaukana a.k.a. Far Away Friends). Some day I hope to read the Eng translation at least for that title.

I'll keep my eyes open to see if I can find something by him while visiting Europe the next time.

It looks like his first book is coming out in English this October. The Glass Key winner is the third book.

A Finnish TV series titled The Look of a Killer was made from some of Ronka's books, MHZ Network has been showing it this year. Subtitled in English. I liked it very much.

We've been watching it also, really enjoying it. MHZ has so many Nordic mysteries.

Good news, Finnish crime is hard to come by, I also have been waiting for Faraway Friends to be translated as I work my way through my Glass Key reading list

I have read the first one in a Spanish translation. I have got the other three in German translation and I am looking forward to read them all in the near future.
