Seeking Beta Readers

Hey Dawn,When would you want this to be done by? And what are you looking for from your beta readers primarily?
I'd like it to be done by the end of March. If someone gets it by Thursday, that'd give them 30 days. Even if it took them longer, I'd still appreciate the feedback, I might not be able to use it before I self-publish.The story is meant to be given away as a free sample of my writing, so it should be:
1) interesting and engaging, while leaving a good impression of my work.
2) create interest in further stories in that world
3) be entertaining - that last one is most important; if the story fails to entertain the average romance reader then it's failed
The story is a setup for later stories in the world. I have two more planned, with secondary characters in the novelettes/novellas becoming the MCs in a longer story. So I need to know if all the characters are interesting.
Edits are welcome but I have had it edited by another person, so that's less important to me. Honestly, though, I'll appreciate any feedback someone would want to give. I know people have their own things that need done, so I'd certainly be willing to reciprocate on someone else's work.
Did that help clarify my request? :)
Hi Dawn, can u tell me what the heat level is? And just to confirm, this is Adult PNR (not YA) correct? Also what format will u be sending to your betas?
The heat level is Subtle (as per this website: http://www.likesbooks.com/kissburn.html ). This is Adult writing.
I'll be sending you a link to a PDF. If someone has an issue with that format, I can work with them.
Thanks to everyone who's shown interest and their patience with me. This is both my first romance and the first time I've reached out to the community for beta readers. Thank you!
Hi Dawn!Quick question: Is there book or author to which you would say your writing style/storyline was similar?
Hey, Rachel! I'm going to say Patricia Briggs. I tend to go for complex characters that aren't usual for this genre (my males aren't alpha jerks, my females aren't TSTL) and I try to keep them and the world realistic, within the paranormal/supernatural framework. This story is not like the BDB or First Grave on the Right. My writing style is easy to read and I am good enough that I have been published by a small press. That first book is not a romance and has been compared to early LKH.
I hope that answers your question. Please let me know if I need to clarify or give more examples.

But based on that, I would be a bad choice to beta read. Best of luck with your writing!
Hi Dawn,I lack experience as a beta but I'm an avid reader. My current "happy place" is paranormal romance. I'd love to help you out.
Thank,
WW
I would love to be a beta reader for you. I have not read Patricia Briggs but I am planning on it. I have read a lot of Laurell K. Hamilton and Kim Harrison's work. Send me the link!
WW and Ashley: I'd love to have more sets of eyes on it. Please feel free to message me your email so I can send you a link to the PDF.
Thanks!
Dawn

Michael, Laura and sjboyden, you should all have links at the email you gave me pointing you to my story. Thanks so much for your time!
I would love to add another beta read on my 3rd installment novel. It's an adult Paranormal Romance series. The sex scenes are hot. I can deliver it in epub format or docx. I need a response pretty quick as I plan to have ARCs out by March 6th at the latest. Here's a blurb about it:
Doug has tried to distance himself from a female who killed an innocent to make him stay. Years later, her threats have riddled his mind with self-hate. Now, he seeks the taboo comforts of a human, hoping she’ll accept him, wereleopard spots and all in due time.
When his brother comes to town, he offers Doug a proposition that will change his life forever. As Doug starts to gain power and fullfill the position better than he imagined possible, the truth rears its ugly head…
A human won’t fit into the picture.
As a BBW in a city full of Botox faces, slight figures, and silicone peaks, Eve doesn’t get asked out much. She meets Doug on an animal lover’s dating site. After a rocky start, she puts her heart on the chopping block despite Doug’s unresolved girlfriend issues.
But she doesn’t know the whole story yet.
Doug refuses to walk away from her and his truth won’t stay hidden. When Eve finally comes face-to-face with it, neither will hers.
