Wil Blevins | 10 comments From the books that i've read before by Joe Nesbø, i know that he makes the situations very close and personal to his main character, Harry Hole. That is exactly what starts to happen at this stage in the book. (There are not necessarily chapters, but many smaller sections to give different perspectives. He has a very different writing style from any other author i've seen before.) The only piece of information about the murder that happened behind the bar of the Neo-Nazis is nickname: The Prince. As Harry and his partner, Ellen Gjelten, look further into this case, he becomes distracted by a Co-worker Rakel. The two are infatuated with eachother. While Harry is fooling around with Rakel, Ellen accidentally discovers the identity of The Prince and is beaten to death with a baseball bat. This is what i meant when i said that things become very personal to Harry Hole. The only thing that Harry knows is that Sverre Olson, her murder, is his only link to the Prince. As he tracks down Olson with his new partner, Halvorsen. Another senior inspector named Tom Waaler, who also caught on to Ellen's murder, killed Olson in 'Self-Defence' as he prepared to arrest him. Things are getting intense aren't they?!

David (davidhovland) | 1 comments Jo Nesbo is an interesting writer to read. Redbreast is a bit (only a bit) too long to be ideal.
