Count me in. Will be my first buddy read.
Welcome Mark, glad to have you!
I got this when it was free on Amazon, its the first in a trilogy. I hope to carve some time this weekend to get through the beginning.

I started the novel last night and read until my eyes couldn't stay open anymore. I'm an early bird and these past few days, I've been waking up at an ungodly 4:30 AM or 5 AM. Usually I get up and start doing things, but I was so captivated by The Concrete Grove that I just propped up my pillows, made myself very comfortable (I love my bed!), picked up my Kindle and continued reading while the night gave way to the early light of the morning. I have reached Part 2 and I have forced myself to stop here. I'm already feeling withdrawal symptoms. The Kindle is sitting there calling out to me... Will I resist? Will I give in? I better get a cup of coffee. :-) I'm getting the same feeling some of the characters are experiencing as they are drawn to the Concrete Grove.

Although part of a trilogy, this book tells a complete story. It appears that the three novels are primarily connected by the Concrete Grove.
I'm about 15% or so in. The first chapter was intriguing, not sure about what's gone on since then. I'm interested in (view spoiler).
I said I would only read the first chapter today and what a mistake that was...lol. A cliff hanger...ouch! I hate that, but I'm too tired to continue. Great beginning, however.
I resumed reading part 2. It keeps getting better. The mystery is building around Hailey's strange condition, the focus of attention Lana is becoming without knowing it and Tom's deteriorating relation with his invalid wife. Tom is also experiencing strange events. 'Nuff said.

It does have a weird feel, Addy. I have no idea what's going on but McMahon set the mood enough that you know the stuff is gonna hit the fan soon :) I'm trying not to get too far ahead but it was fast getting past the half mark.

Charlene wrote: "I really enjoyed this book. Much more than I thought I would. I hope you all like it as well. :)"Yeah, it's a really nice piece of work. I'm thinking about picking up the next one in the series but that cover kind of makes it look like a screwball comedy.
So I finished this one. The writing was great and the ending was good, if not a little bit vague.

Pierre, are you reading #2? How is it so far?

I haven't started it yet. My mood was somber today so I plunged into Like Porno For Psychos. Crazy, crazy stories. I just finished the one about anorexia. Perfect to send my mind into a spinning tumble for the night. Tomorrow is another day.
Ha, I just finished
. It was a crazy anthology! I was just looking at
, which looks really interesting and is the first of a series, too.

Trying to finish this one. Its very good still. I should be able to breeze through in the next few days.
Almost to the end. Got sidetracked...lol. Still a great read, but have no idea what is truly is going on. Guess that's why its a trilogy...
