Walking alone outside at night with no lights on.

Most doll eyes, some figurine eyes. All hairy spiders. The general storage in the basement at work. Someone turned off the lights while I was down there once. It was so dark I couldn't tell which way was up. That would be the way to torture me into any confession.
Spooky that my pup was sleeping peacefully on the couch, then jumped up and began barking at strange owl sounds.
Spooky is knowing that you've done something wrong that you can never change. It haunts you like a ghost always following your footsteps. Far from a Casper this kind of regret is endless and can only be banished through communication. That is what is spooky to me, knowing that those deeds will plague me all my life.
Ending up sleeping on a bench outside of your religious college and waking up to see nothing but a silhouette of a person nearby and you can't tell if they are staring or facing the other way through the darkness and fog-hazed lights.
My daughter calling late at night to tell me she is hearing a scratching sound upstairs. Then when she goes upstairs to investigate she hears the same noise coming from downstairs. She is home alone and the cat is doing something annoying so she says to the cat "Don't!" "Don't". Then later when she feeds the cat she sees the word 'don't' scratched into the floor next to the cat's bowl. Yikes!

Evie made up a story, I think. If not, her daughter needs to move.Have you ever been thinking about an old friend and gotten a call a day or two later? That happened to me today.
What is spooky? We are living in the "spookiest times" with this pandemic....That is pretty spooky to me!
I know exactly whom to believe. I'll stick with the epidemiologists and scientists who continue to learn more about the virus every day. Sure, their recommendations have changed over time, but that's from additional knowledge, not from quack anti-vax youtube videos and voodoo doctors pushing snake oil miracle cures.
