Willowleaf walked into the nursery with a mouse in his jaws. He watched Whisperkit and set it down gently.

Roseclaw looked up as Whisperkit bounded in with prey, "Now where have you been?" She scolded lightly, but looked up in surprise as Willowleaf followed her and then Riverwhisp. She scooted Whisperkit near her siblings, "She hasn't been causing any trouble has she?" She looked up concerned at the deputy.
"I have not!" Whisperkit mewed defiant, "Willowleaf was teaching me how to fight!"

Roseclaw purred, "Thank you Willowleaf." She looked down at her kits as they ate some of the mice, "I must admit, she's the biggest handful of the lot though. I don't envy her mentor. She has too much energy."
Roseclaw dipped her head to Riverwhisp as well. "How is the territory doing?" She asked both warriors. "I feel like I've been trapped in here for ages!"
Willowleaf laughed and nodded. "That's what I was like as a kit." He said. "My mentor always told me that I would be leader some day..."
Roseclaw's twitched her whiskers in amusement, "Don't be giving her too many bright ideas."
Whisperkit perked up, "You mean I could become a leader!?" Her fur fluffed up in excitement, "You hear that Foxkit, Darkkit! I am going to be the leader!" There was replies of protest as the kits began bickering amongst themselves who was going to be the leader.

"Stop that right now, behave yourselves for our guests," Roseclaw separated them with a paw and tail, "I'm really sorry about them. They are really getting too big to be in here for much longer." She looked over at Riverwhisp, "Is something wrong?"
Roseclaw brushed a comforting tail over the young she-cat, "Try some of the prey you've brought us, a full belly will help you feel better." She turned back to Willowleaf, one eye on her kits ready to scold them again should they misbehave again, "One of these days I need to get out of camp to stretch my legs."
Willowleaf turned to Riverwhisp. "We'll be right back." He said and walked a few fox lengths from the others. "What's wrong?" He asked.
Willowleaf looked at Roseclaw and the kits with an apologetic look. "I'll return shortly." He said and raced out.
Roseclaw flicked her ears at Riverwhisp's sudden departure, "Did I do something wrong?" She nodded at Willowleaf, "Take your time."
Whisperkit watched with wide eyes, but for a rare moment of better judgement, managed to keep her mouth shut.

"Foxkit? Darkkit? What happened!?" Whisperpaw mewed as she entered and sat down near her siblings. "Are you sure you are okay?" She gave them worried looks.
Darkkit look at Foxkit "Thanks to those RiverClan cats Foxkits save." She said still looking down.
Darkkit looked at Foxkit, "But that's a good thing! You can you that to help the Clan!" She exclaimed.
"No I am!" Whisperpaw mewed defiantly. She tried to sit up taller than her brother. Laughing, she lightly cuffed him over the ear, "Just make sure you watch where you put your paws and we can have all kinds of adventures!"
Foxkit laughed. "It goes me, you, them Darkkit." He said. "That's what mom said. I am the oldest." He said it seriously so they would understand.
Whisperpaw huffed. "Well I'm still the biggest!" She tackled her brother. "Come on Darkkit, let's get him!"
Whisperpaw nodded. "Okay let's take a nap then." She curled up next to her siblings. It was warm and smelled of their mother and it almost made her forget the pain in her leg. "I hope Stormstar makes you apprentices tomorrow." She murmured before drifting off to sleep.
Roseclaw swiveled her head around to Riverwhisp, "What?" Now one of her kits was awake, she sighed. "I was about to take a nap. It will probably be the last time I share a nest with my kits. I hope this is important." She grumbled and tucked Foxkit in closer to her.
Roseclaw huffed. "See. I don't know why you were worried about him liking me." Her tail swept around all three kits and she pressed them close. She had liked Willowleaf but she knew that nothing would come of chasing after a tom. Her kits were what mattered the most.
Roseclaw growled mildly as Riverwhisp left the nursery, thinking that the other should have been more sensitive to her feelings. She gave Foxkit a few licks on the head protectively. If rumors were true he would be Riverwhisp's apprentice. She frowned down at him, hoping he wouldn't get hurt because his mentor was too busy mooning after the deputy.
((She is Darkpaw now in case you missed it.))
Whisperpaw poked her head into the nursery. "Darkpaw! What are you doing! Let's go make our nests in the apprentice den! Foxpaw is going to take the best spot if we don't hurry." Whisperpaw disappeared from the entrance and bounded to the apprentice's den.

((Oh I didn't see that! Sorry))
Darkpaw quickly stands up, "Yeah! Come on!!" She scurries out and goes into the apprentices den.

Roseclaw squeezed through the brambles into the nursery. The entrance seemed much smaller than she remembered. She paused and looked over her shoulder while waiting for Willowleaf.
"Over here!" Roseclaw mewed excitedly and led her mate to the new nest she had made. It was deep and lined with soft moss and a few feathers. "Whispersong brought me a bunch of feathers to rest on too." She smiled happily.
Roseclaw settled in next to Willowleaf, careful not to jar her slightly swollen belly. She purred in his ear and curled up close.
Roseclaw rested her head on Willowleaf's shoulder, closing her eyes. Her breathing slowed and became deeper as she quickly fell asleep.
Whispersong appeared in the nursery and looked at Roseclaw's nest. She wasn't very surprised to see Willowleaf there with her, after all his nest in the warrior's den had been empty and cold when she sniffed at it before bed. She coughed a little awkwardly and dropped the thrush, "Morning Roseclaw, Willowleaf."
