yes...that's there, they're more cheap, mostly free, easily transportable and can be read anywhere. But what's the use of reading books when you can;t feel them in your hands?!:P:P:D

Yes you are right i am totally on your side

message 8: by Roseanne (new)

Roseanne I prefer ebooks because its cheaper, it takes up less space and I never have to worry about being somewhere, finishing a book and not having another one to start. But I still read paper books because sometimes I read things I just don't want to buy and cant get fron the digital library.

message 9: by Damini (new)

Damini Physical books. Ebooks have lots of advantages over physical books but still the feeling of possessing a book or reading it taking in our hands is something different. Ebooks can't ever beat books there!

message 10: by Constance (new)

Constance Bretes I like both e-books and physical books. E-books are much more convenient, all you have to do is make sure your laptop or Kindle is charged up.

message 11: by Lindsey (new)

Lindsey I prefer physical books, especially the smell of a new one! But I love the usefulness of an ebook and being able to take it anywhere and read any book I want at any time.

Srividya Vijapure (theinkedmermaid) I love physical books and would love a home where my library is a room filled with shelves that are from floor to ceiling and simply filled with books. Paperbacks, hard bounds, leather covers, first editions.. sigh!!! That is my dream!! But then reality steps in and tells me that while I can buy quite a few books, my home does not have all the space in the world, so I have now got hooked onto ebooks as well. So while the preference is physical books, I have more ebooks than physical ones!!! Secondly, love the convenience of the ebook as well. For instance, if I come to know of a book at 12 midnight and want to read it immediately, ebooks are perfect :P :P

message 18: by Constance (new)

Constance Bretes I like both ebooks and paperback books. The thing I like about paperback books is that as an author, I can mark it up, put a sticky note on it, etc. to help me in my own writing. But with the ebook (I have Kindle), I can set it down and come back to it later and it will save my place for me. I just don't have the room for real books to put on shelves, though I like the idea.

Aditi (aditi3991saha) | 225 comments I like only physical copies, especially, the paperback copies. The physical books can give you that pleasure, which you'll never find in any e-books. That essence, that feeling, that aura... everything about a physical books make the reader more and more drawn towards it.

message 20: by Aulona (new)

Aulona Sharofi | 2 comments normal books, you can hold it and smell it...hhh paradise!

message 21: by Jenn (new)

Jenn I like both. I can bring an actual book with me to work for when I'm not busy but at home I like ebooks. Especially my kindle

message 22: by Alex (new)

Supertramp Alex | 167 comments I started reading to get lost from this hypocritical world, to be there in the place, whereever the book takes me. I find myself getting distracted by using gadgets, so I stay away from phones, laptops, computers when I take a book. And as everyone suggested even I can't afford to buy all the books, so took a membership from the library(glad that I have a good one here :D) and started reading. The feel of holding a book itself is heaven. I can carry these books anywhere beaches, parks, library, bus. So physical books all the way. :)

I like both, but when it comes to some of my favourite books which I'd like to read again and again, then I prefer them to be physical copies.

Do you know of any good library nearby?

message 26: by Clara (new)

Clara Kathy | 9 comments I read both eBooks and physical books, but I prefer the physical ones. For holidays the eBook-Reader is great because having ten physical books in my suitcase is rather impractical and sometimes I'm too lazy to go outside and buy books, then it's pretty cool to be able to downlode them with one click. But nothing is better than the feeling of papers between my fingers and the view of my bookshelf with my favorite books ... so I tend to prefer the physical ones.
