Cool! I'll probably check the usual places to download since it's not available through Netflix yet. I'm wondering though that since you're in Canada if it's not available in the States at all, or at least, not yet. But I couldn't find it listed on Amazon or Amazon Canada either for that matter, so who knows.
i just downloaded it. but i am not sure if u have to order it from a UK site or something...
*Stephanie* wrote: "i just downloaded it. but i am not sure if u have to order it from a UK site or something... "Ok. I've got the first two episodes downloading now. I've got my two hard drives almost filled to the max so I'll wait to get the rest until I've watched the first ep to see if I like it.
Thanks for the rec! This looks really good.
:)... once u start watching u will be hooked. at least i was.. he is a sexy vampire ;)
If you get BBC America:Being Human
Three housemates try to live normal lives despite the fact that one’s a werewolf, one’s a vampire and one’s a ghost.
Premieres Saturday, July 25th at 9/8c.

Oh yeah, I suppose I should have checked that since I get BBC America. I always forget about it! Thanks!
I thought I posted this for a second lol I've posted about Being Human almost everywhere else.I love Being Human!
Gilbert needs to make a come-back.
I watched the first episode last night. I have to say that I liked it a lot! I suppose some of this could be SPOILERS if you haven't watched the first episode yet.
The werewolf (I forget his name) is hilarious - "it was a pigeon ... I killed it ... with a shoe." LOL. Although it was kind of sad/scary/upsetting when he changed. Such a horrible bloodcurdling scream.
I like Mitchell, but he needs to be a little more menacing. Too much smiling for me I think for someone over 100 years old and battling himself over drinking blood.
The ghost, Annie?, is both funny and sad. The scene where her fiance comes in with his new girlfriend and can't see her is totally heartbreaking. She's in such a horrible situation right now. I'm guessing she didn't fall down the stairs and was pushed and that's why she's a ghost. That's my theory anyway.
Anyway, thanks for posting about this show, I'm enjoying it!
i like Mitchell he is so cute.. i love his smile. :) ok over all i like them all when i really think of it.. they all click so well together.. George is a cutie.... and have u notice he is like always naked like every episode.. lol love it....

Also, don't you think he'd make a great Jean-Claude?
Yes i think everyone would love to see Mitchell naked :)
for being Jean-Claude i haven't read Laurell K Hamilton's Anita Blake series yet. so i cant say yes or no.. but he is a guy i would love to dream about lol..

*Stephanie* wrote: "for being Jean-Claude i haven't read Laurell K Hamilton's Anita Blake series yet. so i cant say yes or no.. but he is a guy i would love to dream about lol.."Wow, really? You haven't read them huh ... I've got mixed feelings with the Anita books, as I'm sure most fans of the earlier books do, it's a hard series for me to recommend. I loved the first 8 or so books and then they really took a turn for the worst at Obsidian Butterfly, or at least they did for me! A few friends of mine actually started having problems earlier on. I finished Blood Noir when it came out in paperback and I basically wanted to throw it in the trash after reading it. Although I have heard that Skin Trade takes Anita back to her roots, but, ah well, we'll see I guess?
It's pretty sad though, Laurell K. Hamilton has me hooked for life regardless of where Anita ends up. I'm just too invested in the series to give up. I've been a fan of hers for almost 10 years now! So I can't give up yet ...
Anyway, I'm getting horribly off-topic. Back to Mitchell. What's really strange for me is I looked up the actor on wikipedia and I found out he's actually 6 months younger than me. Argh, I'm getting old! George (thanks Christy!) is actually the oldest of the trio. And I could tell that Mitchell wasn't from England, I kept thinking, he sounds like Colin Farrell so he must be from the same place. I just couldn't remember if that was Scotland or Ireland! Is that terrible of me? But yeah, both Mitchell and Colin are from Ireland. Good to know. ; )
Sorry ... rambling a bit ...
http://www.imdb.com/video/imdb/vi4040...I thought you guys might enjoy this, trailer for a new movie coming out. It's what I would envision if the ending of Being Human had been different.
No problem, I spent too much time on IMDB today catching up on trailers. Sooo many good movies coming out soon!

Cool, neat trailer. Thanks!
I've always had kind of a thing for Sam Neill too ...
I watched what was probably the second show in the series and liked it a lot. Interesting vampire world and it looks like we will get to see what the werewolves in that world are up to as well.
I thought this was a brilliant series especially considering it's English. It seemed very realistic and down to earth. The ending was intriguing and I can't wait to see what happens in season 2.
Oh yea! (slight spoiler)
I really enjoyed the first two episodes on BBC america. Looking forward to the upcoming 4 and more later. Seems Anna is kinda falling for Mitchell, and I must say, cant blame her. (yum). The dynamic should be interesting cause he cant drain her can he? Stalker vamp would go crazy I think.
I just saw this show last week for the first time. i really liked it. im going to catch the rerun from last saturday this thur. iam glad they are doing a season two
Yep I really like this series too! I still haven't watched last saturday's new episode, hopefully I get to it tonight on the DVR! but it def a good one!:)

Melodie wrote: "I watched it last weekend and it didn't hold my interest that well. I'm going to try again this weekend."Yeah stick with it Melodie! I felt the same way but episodes 2 and 3 are much better!

The season finale is this weekend and I've fallen in love with it!!! Isn't this actually the 2nd season we're getting here? Anyone know about the 1st season?
Melodie wrote: "The season finale is this weekend and I've fallen in love with it!!! Isn't this actually the 2nd season we're getting here? ‘Being Human’ Season 2 To Air January 2010Russell Tovey (aka George the Werewolf) has confirmed Season 2 of Being Human will commence filming in August with a scheduled transmission in the UK around January 2010. He also confirmed that the first season is due to air [later this year:] on BBC America, in Italy, Australia, Brazil and France.
The news came whilst Tovey and co-star Lenora Crichlow (Annie) were in attendance at Collectormania Midlands, where they also let out a few other tidbits related to the upcoming second season of the hit UK series.
Crichlow confirmed Annie is about to switch up her wardrobe after wearing the same clothes for an entire season. Now that she’s at peace with herself and her death we can expect her to trade-in her ugg boots for a skirt.
Whilst explaining the werewolf prosthetics that he had to endure to bring the werewolf to life, Tovey added that fans can expect his werewolf to change too.
“They’re going to improve on the final werewolf for the second series. He was a bit of a mincing werewolf,” he said.

Sweet now i just have a wait ugh lol :)
The season finale was good..........now, since this is the first season, how long until we get the 2nd??? I'll be suffering from Mitchell withdrawals soon.
Yeah I liked the season finale!! Oh gosh let's hope BBCA doesn't make us wait till next summer! They are usually good about bringing back a series mid season....
I started a Being Human group since a lot of us are talking about the same things in different groups:http://www.goodreads.com/group/show/2...
Let me know if anyone wants to be a mod.

So i just found this new show a few nights ago and i have to say i love it. so i felt that i had to share its called Being Human its about a Vampire a Werewolf and a Ghost living in a flat in Bristol England.
the stars of this tv show are.
Main characters
John Mitchell (Aidan Turner) is a quiet, calm vampire working as a hospital porter. He became a Vampire in World War I. Mitchell has himself admitted that he is over 100 years old. Although he can survive daylight, his eyes are overly-sensitive to natural light, prompting him often to wear sunglasses outside in the daytime.
George Sands (Russell Tovey) is less socially adept than Mitchell, despite having an IQ of 156 and being able to speak French, German, Italian, Spanish and Croatian. He became a werewolf when on a holiday to Scotland.
Anna "Annie" Clare Sawyer (Lenora Crichlow) is an insecure ghost who haunts the house she and her fiancé lived in while she was alive, and is unwilling to leave it. Annie appears in the clothes she was wearing when she died which change subtly depending on her state of mind.
There is only 6 - 1 hour episodes so for thats season 1. but there going to film season 2.
i cant wait for season 2 to be out i am hooked to this show. :)
it is out on DVD right now.. so if u can get a copy or download it. u have to watch it.. its so good...
