Hey, I'm just curious about what type of music other perople are into. I'll give almost anything a try, but I really enjoy listening to Rock and Pop at the moment. So, what types of music do all you other group members like to listen to?

Everything! Not so much of rap though. I gtg though. I'll say more later~

I'm obsessed with Relient K.

I'll listen to anything, because I love music, but my favorites are pop-punk, Christian, alternative...blah blah blah...my fav bands are Relient K, Death Cab For Cutie, The Postal Service, Motion City Soundtrack, Iron and Wine.....adjioashfdla

The genres I listen to includes Gothic rock, Gothic Metal, a little bit of Emo, I like some older Punk (The Ramones, The Clash, Violent Femmes, ect), Black Metal, Death Metal, Symphonic Metal, Power Metal, Eurometal, some Fantasy Metal, Grunge, Post-Grunge, Glam Rock, Dark Punk, Dark Pop, Dark Rock, Acid Rock, Psychedelic Rock, Acid Rock, 1st Wave, 2d wave, Nu-Metal, 90s, EBM/Electrona/Dance, Punk Revival, Industrial, "Love Metal" (HIM), Gothic Heavy Metal, "Death Pop" (The Rasmus), "Death Funk" (NIN), New Wave, some Indie Rock, Alt rock/metal, Classical, Doom Metal, Funeral Metal, some 80s metal acts, Cello Metal, and much more.

You have a lot of fav genres!! What's Cello Metal? It sounds sick.

Oh, I like a little classical too. But only a little. Like, Debussy. And some Vivaldi. But I'm NO EXPERT.

If I'm correct, there's only one Cello Metal band so far in the world. The name of the band is Apocalyptica, and they're from Finland. It's basically heavy metal, only using cellos. They did a bunch of Metallica covers and then did songs with singers like Ville Valo, Lauri Ylonen, Matt Tuck, and Corey Taylor.

I like kind of like rock-pop songs. YOu know, the ones that u can tell the lyrics easily. Some songs u just dont understand them. I suppose i also like a little country, considering i like Taylor Swift. I also Avril Lavigne

Hmm...i like when the lyrics are kind of deep, so you can sort of tell what it means...idk

i like taylor swift, too, but i hate country.

oh, and cello metal sounds pretty nice. i'm going to look apocalwhatever up!

wait, before I look them up, name what you think is their best song. because i decide whether or not i like a band mostly on the first song i hear by them. i'm weird that way.

Hmmm. Some good Apocalyptica songs include Something Around Nothing, Bittersweet, Life Burns!, Quutamo, and Misconstruction. I would highly recommend Misconstruction and Quutamo for a fist listener. Next to that .. Stroke. Grace is also good.

I listen to a lot of Country. A lot of people don't like it but its not all slow songs about love and whatnot. Theres some really cool like upbeat songs and some rockish songs. Country also has a lot more meaning to the lyrics. I also listen to alternative bands like Paramore. I love them. And I also like Rock/Pop stuff thats fun.

I like Paramore to. :)

Rock has its roots in Country. Everything has its roots in Classical. I don't listen to Country though ..

I'm listening to Misconstruction right now and that is sick! Cellos with the guitars......awesome! thanks for telling me about them!

Don't be fooled! That's three electric cellos you're hearing. Maybe four (their forth cellist turned into a drummer but he mighta played in that song).

hahah the other day i was in target's and i saw an apocalyptica album. it was purple. and i was like HEY!

Rocio .. I might be able to answer your question.

There's a site called Last.fm where you can create your own playlists, groups, stations, and journal entries about bands you like. Last FM is a site I frequent a lot - it even has my Finnish metal music!

If Last.fm isn't what you want, then I would highly recommend Pandora Radio. The only huge downside about Pandora Radio is that you are limited to listen to so many hours a month due to their music licenses.

But you have to gather your own songs. A lil confusing, but great other than that.
