Arena!

Rising up, he hoped his choices would be good. They were all pretty neutral and could be semi helpful in warm and cold climates. What he saw, though, was an absolute shock.
The toys sprawled for miles, he noted the cornucopia was the large spinning machine in the middle. The weapons were toys, but Seaton assumed that the Capitol probably altered them to make them deadly. He looked around more and decided on the pizza shop as a good base. He nodded at Delilah, subtly pointing at the pizza store. The gong rang out, and he ran to the Cornucopia, he scanned the first car pretty quickly and noted that it only had a squirt gun and a bag of marbles. Deciding that was fine, he grabbed the two, and began to run towards the pizza shop. He noted some random tributes and shot them down. Taking their weapons they had managed to secure, he now had two marble bags and a light saber. Seaton ran towards the pizzeria and held his gun towards the door and waited for Delilah so they could discuss a plan more.
((Is it ok if he took weapons? If not I can totally edit! If anything else is wrong, tell me please!))

Colin sprinted to the cornucopia. He grabbed 2 Nerd Guns. Sprinting away to the Zoo. He didn't expect this. He looked around as he ran. He finally reached the Zoo. He looked behind him to see if anyone followed him. (( Could he take these? ))

((I gtg sorry :( ))

"Fawn, Fawn, listen to me." There was no hiding the urgency in the mans voice as he roughly grabbed Fawns face and turned her head so she was focusing on him. "I can't give you the script but you need to make sure you don't get involved in any of the other kids fight scenes okay?"
Fawn opened her mouth to reply but the mentor barreled on for lack of time. "They will never stop filming until the end. if you see any tributes in a fight you run and hide as fast as you can. Don't let them catch you. Don't trust anyone. Just stay safe. Understood?" His gaze bore into hers as he tried to will her to understand just how dangerous this would be.
Fawn nodded ever so slightly, her eyes wide. The mentor let out a sigh and moved his hand from her face. "Good luck, kid."
Fawn moved over to the plate and watched the glass slide down. She wasn't sure what to make of everything. Part of her was excited and part of her, deep, deep down felt the strong urge to run. But she bit down that urge and plastered a big movie star grin on her face. Since she had been given her choice of clothing, she wore leggings and a cute bright pink poodle skirt-her stylist was trying to bring it back in style. She wore a dark purple undershirt with a cute white shirt over it. The outfit was completed with a black fur jacket. Her hair was done up in a cute ponytail secured with the orange ribbon she brought from home.
Yeah, it wasn't the most practical thing to wear. But the least her stylist could do was let her choose what she died in. Besides, he could make a pretty penny off of a line of clothing inspired off of her look in the arena.
Fawn smoothed out her skirt nervously as the plate rose. What she saw took her breath away. Her mouth dropped open in astonishment as her eyes went wide with excitement. She craned her neck up to stare at the ceiling and the different levels. She took in the slides and the amazing smells wafting around. It was all she could do to keep from running off the plate then and there.
When the gong finally sounded, Fawn ran with excitement towards the spiral staircase. She wanted to see the rest of the set! Besides which her mentor had said to not get into the fighting scenes, so she was doing exactly what he said to do

((Also, mind if Seaton and Cashton have a small encounter? No one seriously injured, but just a little hoedown, you know? ))

Seaton and Delilah will be in there. I can't wait to see them! She waved good bye to Max, her mentor, with an excited smile. He looked mournful, but why?
She rose up, and opened her eyes. "Toys!" She exclaimed, and hopped off the plate at the gong. This was a perfect arena for her. Toy's and games, she was after all a little girl at heart. She saw a glimpse of Delilah's fiery red hair, and skipped off after her, Delilah's bracelet in hand to give her. She stopped and gasped when Seaton grabbed her hand, but changed to a smile. "Oh hello Seaton! Look!" She said pointing at all the toys. "Isn't this great!"

Seaton walked out of the store and sneaked against the walls, shooting when necessary. He found Cashton and popped up next to her. "Hey there stranger."

That first doubt began when her stylist gave her complete freedom to choose what she wanted to wear. This particular detail made her a bit uneasy, knowing the games were going to be much different then they every had before. But she decided to dress warm for the occasion, and would strip layers if need be. Her outfit consisted of a large black jacket that would hold up fairly well in snow, but was light enough to carry around if it happened to be 100 degrees. She wore a tight white muscle shirt underneath, a fair way to show off her abs and biceps. Camo pants were her choice, completing the 'tough-girl' vibe she had been aiming for. The only detail she allowed her stylist to take control of was her hair, which was french braided into a ponytail. (( (view spoiler) ))
She stepped right onto her plate, not bothering to talk with her stylist or get any last minute advice from her mentor (like she needed any advice).
The plate rose, and Cashton's first instinct was to smell. And boy did it smell like rotten kids and fresh plastic. Toys. Ewww... She rolled her eyes and took off her jacket and threw it aside while still on the plate, eyes flashing around to take in every detail of her vast surroundings.
A ferris wheel, 4 visible floors, many shops, the sound of a train, the smell of pizza and Italian. Yes... this was a sanctuary compared to all other arenas. Or at least it seemed. It would be sure to have its fair amount of traps and downfalls, but it seemed to be better off then a burning desert.
She flexed her muscles in her tank top and cracked her neck as the gong sounded.
BOOM.
At a sprint, she headed to the Ferris wheel. Though she wasn't the first their, she certainly wasn't at a disadvantage. It appeared that every moving seat has a load of stupid weapons. She hopped the gate that separated the waiting line from the loading dock and rushed to the seats.
The seat that she came up to happened to be somewhat of a mother-load. She swept up a Water gun, baseball bat, bag of marbles, and a light saber. She shoved most of it into her belt, but kept out the bat in her hands. A young boy had finally made it to the cornucopia, and Chaston took a mighty swing, hitting the boy hard on the temple. his body flew backwards into the wheel, falling down beneath the moving seats. Just as he was falling, the seats had begun to rotate, and it sliced his head clean off. Boom.
One down, Many to go.
She blew at the tip of her baseball bat as if blowing away the smoke from the end of a gun. Turning on heel, Cashton began to calmly make her way towards the elevators to take her up much higher. She would tower above everyone in her own little cave of sorts she would make from one of the shops.
Cashton walked up next to the elevator and pushed the button, calmly taping her foot and waiting for the doors to open. This was when Seaton showed up by her side. She gave him a charming smile, not feeling the least but threatened by his presence. "I knew you would find me." The door dinged open and she stepped inside, looking back over her shoulder. "You coming? Ill let you leave whenever you'd like, but you may as well come with me now." she gave a small chuckle at his hesitation. "I don't bite, well not often anyways."["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

Racing towards the Cornucopia, the large ferris wheel in the center of the toy store, he stopped in front of the red cart. Inside he was astounded to find a two Nerf guns and a bag of marbles. He procured the items quickly as the cart began moving again. He glanced the perimeter of the toy store, anxious to find Fawn in the mess. With forty-eight tributes it was even harder to survive. He expected the blood bath to be worse than it usually was and was determined to evade it all costs. His eyes moved to the four floors above and relief flooded over him once he noticed a small figure skipping up the spiral staircase. Shaking his head, Simon traveled across the center of the toy store, ducking as a tribute threw a marble at him. His aim was off and the marble exploded several yards away from him. With his heart racing, he sped to the staircase, bounding up step by step to meet with Fawn.

Delilah wrapped her arms tightly around Gwen as she hugged her, her malicious side seemed to vanish with Gwen's presence. She still could feel the urge to pull out her gun and.. no, stop that! It would be hard but she would keep her cold side to the other tributes and not her allies. "Why thank you." She grinned, putting the bracelet on her wrist. She kept a watchful eye, making sure no one snuck up on them. She hastily brought Gwen inside the pizzeria and suddenly remembered the boy she had shot, his body still lying on the ground, bloody and motionless. They hadn't taken him away yet and she didn't want Gwen seeing him. "Gwen, come over here." She said, trying to keep Gwen's eyes on her, not the boy. "Let's go back here." She led Gwen away from the entrance and inside he pizzeria.

Fawn rushed up to floor three then paused, out of breath. Hearing someone behind her she rushed quickly and hid behind a rack of children's dress up clothes. Cautiously she peeked out between the items, her pink skirt pressing against the hung up costumes and making them bulge weird.
Seeing Simon looking come up the stairs she stepped out, the hangers rattling together. "Simon!" She ran up to him, her jacket sliding back weirdly cause it was unzipped. "Isn't this the best set ever!" Fawn giddily jumped up and down in place, her eyes bright with happiness.

Fawn took his hand and pulled him along the wide yellow brick road that wound around this section of the store. Shifting to walk sideways and focus on him she pointed to the stage. Then, her hand travelled up to the ceiling where the people managed the lights.

((Its the place described as being the perfect place fore teens on the 4th floor. It has the sports equipment in it too.))

They arrived at the Lounge, and she swung the double doors open. Inside, was everything she wanted from this arena. Couches scattered the floor of the room and the lighting was dimmed to low. There were three mini stores at the back of the lounge: A make-up store, a popular clothing shop, and a sports equipment store.
Cashton threw herself onto the nearest couch, placing her hands behind her head and closing her eyes. "Ahh... I think this will do." She opened one eye to look at him. "And I bet we have some make-shift weapons in the sports store."

Fawn nodded, putting on her serious face. "Nobody ever looks up." She pointed above them, then added what she proudly thought would be her smart moment of the day. "And we control the lights! We can blind people so we can run away. My mentor said to always run away cause I'm not scripted to be in the fight scenes." Fawn poked him in the arm to get him moving towards the ladder up to the lighting area. "Pip says it's nice up there too."

You have been dressed in your choice of clothing. Other than comfortable shoes everything else was entirely up to the tributes preference. These are the clothes you would be sent to die in. How long, some wondered, would I last?
Well, you are about to find out.
As you stand on the plate you realize you could be dead in the next 24 hours. Or less. The odds are not at all in your favor.
With a quiet hiss glass settles down around you and you are lifted up and up into the arena.
What you see as your plate clicks into place in the arena is anything but what you expected your murder location to look like. A wild untamed forest? No. A sandy desert? No. Mountains? You wish. Before you you see every childs dream. Indeed you may wonder if it is a dream.
You are in a toy store.
Through the thick windows you see people of the Capitol peeking in, anxious to see the start of the arena. It seems the Capitol had taken over the most popular toy store in Panem for this event. After all, what better draw to the site than an arena? Think of the people who would come after the arena is over!
The toy store is four stories high with balconies off each floor to the center of the arena. It was fashioned off of famous old toy stores. In the center of the store was a large Ferris wheel, which coincidentally also happened to be the cornucopia. Each seating area on it was based off of different toys. One might be a Barbie car while another was a Lego car and another was boat and another based off of fairy tale, etc. There were 24 carts total, and each carried items. All are weapons.
There wasn't time to gather much more information about the arena before the gong sounded and the game to your death began...
NOTES:
There is an elevator on each wall, as well as a set of stairs on every wall and a spiral staircase in the center by the south balcony. There is also a slide that wraps around the spiral staircase for each level, as well as one that goes from floor four clear down to floor one off of the fourth floor north balcony.
Everything in the building is operational. There are bathrooms along the south and north walls on each floor. Water fountains are found there as well, and it is the only source of water other than in the bathrooms and at the kitchen.
Each floor is broken up as follows:
Main floor ---
checkouts towards the front exit(north). All doors will not open and the glass is unbreakable. There is no way to exit the arena.
Ferris wheel - runs on automatic, no tributes can adjust it. Does three full cycles then pauses with each cart on the ground before repeating.
a candy/ice cream/ bakery shop - fully stocked, no kitchen area accessible behind(door is barred). Just a storage room with extra disposable dishes, paper bags, and candy. It is found on the east side.
a pizza restaurant - all dough was left prepared for the tributes, all toppings are laid out subway style behind the counter. Once it runs out or spoils it's gone. There is four ovens, a soda fountain(fully stocked), salad bar, and any items necessary for finishing the pizzas. The kitchen doors are barred, you can not entire that part. On the south side.
A burger and fries classic styled restaurant - everything needed for this is behind the counter in the kitchen. Walk in freezer, all the equipment, everything. It's found on the west side.
and an arcade along the south end of the building. Complete with twelve bowling lanes, bumper cars, and many other arcade games.
Second floor ---
Is devoted entirely to toys for babies on the east side. South side has a bunch of young girl toys such as barbies, dolls, etc while the north side had toys for boys. Action heroes, fake tools, etc. Along the west side is a large playground where kids could try out new toys. There was a large dolls house in one corner, a tree house on the other. A huge nutcracker stood like a pillar in the center, his beard a surface for climbing up and his interior hollow for kids to play in. Huge bouncy mushrooms dominated large areas on the heavily padded floor where kids could bounce from one to the other without touching the ground. There's much more to the playground, use your imagination here.
Third floor ---
The north side is entirely for stuffed animals and robot pets and other fun and fluffy creatures. There's also live animals here as a petting zoo. Rabbits, snakes, birds, ponies, and a tamed mountain cat.
The south side has costumes of all kind as well as a stage and chairs for kids to play on with their costumes they try on. It's also used for acting classes and charity events. There's also a photo booth.
The east side has musical instruments and a large working piano on the floor. Each key glows different colors when you step on it. The instruments range from toy ones for kids to really nice ones for adults and teens.
The west wide is where all the boxes toys are like board games, Legos, etc. In the center of this area is a place where games can be played and new toys tried out. Those on display there, of course.
This floor has a large train set wrap around the entire level. It's large enough to sit in and enjoy the ride.
Fourth floor ---
There is a playing area for the latest video games on the north wall with all the other new games. All movies and music can be found there as well.
A few theatre rooms dominate the west wall where you could watch and then purchase new films. Popcorn shop is located there for confidence.
Along the east wall is a stage where a live band is usually found playing. There's seats and some tables and chairs there as well. An Italian restaurant is also found there, fully stocked, kitchen accessible.
The south side has everything else a teen could want. All the latest items for the most popular trends, sports equipment, and comfortable lounge areas to chat with friends.
Please use your imagination with this guys, I'm just trying to give a general idea of the layout.
All food is found at the restaurants.
WEAPONS
The weapons in the arena are not normal by any means. There are:
- Glorified water guns. You need water to use them but the gun injects poison into it. This poison burns on contact.
- Nerf guns. Rather than shooting foam they shoot darts. Non poisoned but still deadly.
- sports equipment. Baseball bats, footballs with spikes on the tips, metal balls, etc. Normal sports equipment turned deadly.
- marbles. Comes in bags of five. May sound innocent enough but these explode when you throw them. Doesn't look like it does a lot but if you hit someone it definitely will hurt or tear off a limb or two. With enough force behind the throw. It's impact needs to be hard enough to trigger it. Catching does not stop it from exploding.
- Super old light sabres. Yeah, they never go out of style. Thing is, while they aren't the real deal, the metal for the pull out sabre gets super hot like a pot left on the stove too long.
Those are the only weapons in the arena. Other than normal items used deadly. And cooking equipment.
Happy Hunger Games!
