An Echo in the Bone discussion

Can someone please explain or clarify for me why/how/when he ended up in the future with Roger & Brianna... it's like I skipped the entire chapter or something!!! Thank you!

That whole tale is told in chapter 72 "The Feast of All Saints." You can start at the beginning to read about it, or if you have the 1155 page paperback you can skip to 877 where he explains it over 10 pages. Starting on page 888 he talks about what he'd done since arriving in the future.

Long story short though he basically says he couldn't find a way to make a living in America, they get an offer to go back to Scotland so they go. They're driving the Wagon, it breaks down, the family takes a nap in the grass while he goes for a walk... towards the stones and ends up in the future.
