message 1: by Tahleen (new)

Tahleen I just started listening to this and am really enjoying it. I'm not sure I could get into it as easily if I were reading the print, but Moira Quirk and her accent give it that little bit of something. Has anyone else listened to this yet?

message 2: by Killian (new)

Killian (killianshea) I listened to this one sometime last year and loved it - but I know exactly what you mean about it being one that would be hard to get into in print.

Melissa (msthombookitis) | 3 comments I started listening this week and am loving it. I agree that the accents make the book. Is there a sequel to this book?

message 4: by Tahleen (new)

Tahleen Yes! It's called Curtsies & Conspiracies. Not sure if the audio is out yet though.

message 5: by Killian (new)

Killian (killianshea) The audio for the sequel is out - I listened to it through Overdrive back in December.

Becky Just finished this audio yesterday. I learned a new term: steampunk Victorian. I usually prefer reading a book, but I really enjoyed listening to this one.

Emily (gnomegrlem) | 1 comments Loved Moira Quirk so much I had to dive right into book two. I read Etiquette & Espionage when it first came out, but I definitely liked the audiobook experience better!

message 8: by Leah (new)

Leah The narrator was just wonderful. I love Gail Carriger's books--she's so inventive--but I agree that Moira Quirk's narration made it even better.

Angela Critics (quiltinglibrarian) | 16 comments I'll echo what many of you have already said. I thought Etiquette and Espionage was fun and enjoyable when I read it. I just started listening to the audio last night. It's amazing! Moira Quirk is fabulous!

Bethany Miller (nwhslmic) | 14 comments I finished listening to this one last week. It was cute and enjoyable, but I doubt I will seek out the sequel. I agree that the reader did a great job. I found the conclusion a bit unsatisfying, but I guess that's what the sequel is for :)
