Her brother was the only person other than Shane that could kept her sane. Her parents drove her up the wall. Not because of the usually teenager reasons, but because they didn’t care for her. They didn’t acknowledge her. She tried everything to get their attention. She got straight A’s, join cheerleading because her mother enjoyed it so much in highschool. Her brother died a few months ago, in a car accident. She misses him insanely.

“Who cares if I ruined my life,” she muttered, as she laid her back down against the cool bed, “Mom, and dad certainly won’t.

“I would. You’re my baby sister. I couldn’t live without,” he replied, as she walked over to the bed, and sat down beside her.

“I couldn’t live without you either,” she cried as her eyes flickered up to met his.

“And on that day, it was as if the world became so much brighter.” This is something Aurora’s mother always said when speaking on the girl’s birth. Born into a family built on old southern money, hard work, and dreams bigger than anyone could imagine one would say Aurora had a rather nice upbringing. Her mother and father had married young, having her older brother when they were only eighteen. Even still, her father went on to college to gain his business agree and later culinary school so he’d be able to take over the family business. Aurora’s mother? Well, if you look through any fashion magazine you’ll be sure to find her name with numerous pictures. Aurora was brought into this life while her parents were at the peak of their careers. She grew up having a close relationship with both her parents and her brother, and several years later when her sister came along she expected the same.

But as the youngest Lewis child continued to grow, it was quite obvious that she was far different from the rest. She would often lock herself in her room for hours at a time, even refusing to leave when Aurora would offer to take her anywhere she pleased. No one thought much about it; they all felt it was the youngest’s way of finding her way in the world. It wasn’t until they received a call from her school on that life changing day that they began to regret their actions towards her; that they began to question “what if” over and over again

At the age of ten, Phoebe Lewis left this world by her own doing. To say the family was a wreck was clearly an understatement, but it was obvious to all that the tragedy hit Aurora the hardest. As her older sister, she felt it had been her duty to know what was wrong at all times-- and yet she had failed in her own eyes. But for the sake of her family, she put on a glossy smile and tried her best to hold it all together. At the cost of her own self.

Shay Birmingham was born in Mobile, Alabama. Her parents were well known considering Shay's grandfather was the Senator at the time. So when the darling granddaughter of the Senator was born she was naturally showered with gifts, her parents had several parties that were thrown for the sweet, blue eyed, dark haired baby girl. No one could get enough of her, the bright blue eyes entranced most people. The couple loved their daughter very much, and spent a lot of time with her the first few years of her life. Making sure to dote on her, never leaving her alone for very long, even though her dad was an executive of a company and her mom was starting her own business designing dishes, they still had plenty of time for their baby girl. At that time at least. Her father got offered a job too good to pass up in NYC right before Shay's 4th birthday, and off they went, to the big apple. A HUGE change from their home in Mobile, Alabama. Her grandparents were very sad to see the family go, but were happy for their son and his advancement in his career, they only hoped that the young parents wouldn't get too caught up in the politics of NYC.
The high rise penthouse was far different than their plantation house back home, Shay was small, but she still knew the vast difference between her new home and her old one. It was an adjustment to be sure, at first her dad was gone a bit more than usual, but her mom was still around a lot that summer. Shay started school for the first time at the best prep school in New York, her family had money so they figured why not put it to good use? Once Shay started Pre-K her mom started keeping herself busy once more with her dish company, she wanted to open up a shop in New York. She just wasn't sure if it would be a hit or not, but she had to at least try. Sitting at home while her daughter was at school and her husband was at work just wasn't something she looked forward to. So she started making connections, getting to know the elite, which wasn't hard with the father-in-law she had in politics, and her husband being CEO of a big Organic company. She fit in almost instantly with her smile, intelligence, fashion sense, and of course money. Before Christmas she had a venue for her store and had her business not only going in Alabama but in New York as well.
Their first Christmas in New York was magical, snow covered every surface, they experienced Christmas parties unlike any they had attended before. Shay attended all of the parties with her parents, society found out what a family was all about with the Birminghams. No other family brought any children under 15 years old, it was the elite and only those that were mature enough to understand what was going on. You can imagine the surprise they all experienced when they saw the little girl appear at their parties. Mr. and Mrs. Birmingham pretended like they didn't notice the looks or the absence of other toddlers that they knew their friends had. They didn't understand how people could leave their children home on Christmas, it was a day for family time, and nothing should keep them from their children, at least in their opinion. They held these values for a few years, but eventually they conformed with everyone else. Shay's parents became 'invested' with their companies and spent less and less time at home with Shay.
Shay was involved in a lot of playdates, after school activities, sports, so she didn't notice that much at first when her parents abruptly pulled back and became self-involved. She had her friends, and clubs, the eight year old was very mature and put together for one so young. Her parents always prided themselves in their little adult, she wasn't one of those girls that threw temper tantrums, she never whined as a child. So they naturally figured that she would be able to handle them focusing on their careers, they never thought that their actions would have a negative effect on their little princess.



*☆♪Adolescence/Young Adulthood♪☆*
13, the age that made Shay change from the sweet little girl to the popular, rich, stylish, her own person, real Upper East Side girl. Puberty hit and people really started noticing her, seeing her, she didn't blend in with the crowd anymore. She changed her style of clothes, paid more attention to her the way she fixed her clothes, who she was seen talking to and the party invites she accepted and denied. She left behind the nerdy clubs, ditched the clothes that made her look like the kid that played chess on the weekends, and requested membership to all of the right country and social clubs. Her parents didn't notice the change at first, they didn't ask questions and pretty much gave her free reign of their credit cards. She didn't go overboard, she kept her head screwed on straight, but got what would get her noticed. Her parents were practically out of her life so she decided to fully submerge herself into her school, friends, and the drama of the more privileged society of New York City. Including the ever elusive, Gossip Girl.
Shay became very popular, she didn't have to have a gaggle of girls around her all of the time like the other girls did. She just called on her to-do girls only when she needed them, which made guys want her even more than some of the uppity girls at their private school. She didn't really date any of them though, she picked and chose a guy for every event of course, but nothing ever too serious. She kind of protected herself in that area, not wanting to get too close to anyone in case they hurt her, she'd seen it happen to a lot of girls, and wasn't about to let it happen to her. The only people that she really felt close to ever were her two cousins, but she never really got to see them except on holidays so that didn't help. She had people that thought they were her friends, but truly they knew hardly a thing about her. Maybe that will change this year, maybe her life will be different.

Sierra Wilkins was born the second child of Rachel and John Wilkins of Mobile, Alabama. Rachel and John both came from wealthy families. The couple already had one child, Seth, who was 3 years old when his little sister was born. Sierra was a beautiful baby with olive skin, dark hair, and big brown doe eyes. She captivated every adult she met with her sweet eyes and bright giggle. Everybody loved the child. She was showered with gifts and attention all while she grew up. Her older brother loved her too, and they grew close as the grew up together in the small city of Mobile. Sierra was exposed to the the children in the community from a young age, going to all the birthday parties and the weddings in the community. The Wilkins' were always at the top of every guest list. Sierra had always been a little bit shy around the other kids, but there were some that she warmed up to. Especially one, Tasman. Tasman was the same age as Sierra, and had a knack for bringing out the best in people. She was an exact copy of Sierra, but more outgoing. She always pulled Sierra out of her shell and got her to be happy and bright. The two became best friends by age 4, attaching at the hip. They had sleepovers every Friday night. They had brunch at the best cafe every Saturday morning, then went shopping with their mommies. They were the pampered princesses of Mobile, they did everything together. So when Sierras interest in gymnastics spiked, after watching the Olympics, they started together. Sierra was giddy and happy with the sport, especially after picking out a shiny blue leotard to practice in. After a few lessons, her instructor discovered that she was a natural. She loved it too. Sierra was always the best in her training class, even better than some if the older girls. At ages 6 and 7 she was beating 12 year olds in competitions. Her parents found that she could be extremely dedicated to whatever it was that she put her mind to. Even in school, when she wanted to memorize her times tables, she sat in her room for three hours every night until she did. There just wasn't room for failure with Sierra. She was driven and loved what she did. Sierra never went lonely in her young life. Her family was always supportive and loving to her, they never abandoned her like some wealthy parents did. And at school she had Tasman and a group of friends big enough to fill a bus. She was friends with a couple of boys, but mostly girls, chatting with them about nail polish and pretty shoes. She rambled to anyone that would listen about gymnastics, but only the ones that really cared about her listened. She was so animated when she spoke of it, but she could go on forever, even when she was just 12.

While gymnastics and girlfriends occupied most of sierras childhood, she grew into a well rounded young woman. She participated in a couple clubs at school, things like yearbook and broadcasting club. The people in school knew who she was, they knew her name. And once she got to high school, people knew her name there too. She was still on the quiet side, but always made an effort to be friendly to everyone. She would smile if she made eye contact and put her best foot forward in group projects. And on the gymnastics team, she made a statement. She was incredible, going to every meet her freshman year and winning medals for her team. She joined the field hockey team with Tasman, who was still her best friend, and found that she was good at that too. Not as good as gymnastics, but she kicked butt on the field and in the gym, so she was pretty pumped all throughout her first year of high school. The summer before her sophomore year, she and Tasman spent the summer working with their mothers at a boutique they owned together. One boy came in once every week to get gifts for his mom, or so he said. He basically asked Sierra to help him pick something out, following her around the store and flirting with her for a bout an hour every time he came in. His name was Andrew, and Sierra started to like him a lot. Tasman thought he was cute and a bit silly, but cute. Then one day, the dark haired boy came into the store with something already in hand. It was a single pink rose with a note attached. He simply handed it to Sierra, kissed her hand, and left. Sierra was excited of course and opened the note to find a time and date to meet him, the text politely asking if she would have his company for a date. Sierra nearly fainted with happiness and of course went to meet him. Andrew was a soccer player and the two clicked instantly. They started dating and became the item of their grade. They always are lunch together and went on cute little dates all over Mobile. They spent a lot of time together. Not that Sierra stopped focusing on other things, because she didn't. She made plenty of time for studying and sports and Tasman and all if her friends. She always swore she wouldn't mess everything up for a boy. And she never ever did. She was very good at regulating a relationship, deciding how much time together was enough and what was too much or too little, the two had a perfect balance. She had help figuring it all out, from Tasman and their friends. They still did sleepover Fridays, nothing really changed between them. Sierra had always thought of her parents as a symbol of love. She looked up to them as role models for how she wanted to be someday. So when her mother announced that they were getting a divorce, around March of Sierras junior year, she was shocked. And wen she found out why, she was just plain angry. Her father had been sleeping around with the people he worked with at his law firm, screwing his secretary, as well as some of the other lawyers in the office. When sierras mom found out, she immediately wanted a divorce, and her father didn't argue. Sierra started to hate them then. Her father stopped talking to her, simply because she ignored him when he tried. She pretended he didn't exist, and delved further into her sports and friends. Andrew, her boyfriend of almost a year by then, started to act weird. He was distant from her, avoiding spending their usual time together, missing her meets and games with no warning, ignoring her half the time. Sierra didn't understand why, but she didn't want to pine after him and seem desperate. So she went out with Tasman after her junior year ended. She just spent time at the boutique and the gym and out and about with Tasman. She was actually having a great time, forgetting about her stupid boyfriend that didn't seem to care and her father that probably never had. She waited around, only seeing Andrew once every few weeks, until the day her parents signed the papers. She needed to talk to him, so she invited him to come by her favorite coffee shop that afternoon. Andrew showed up, but only to end their relationship. He'd been cheating on her for a couple of months now, and said he felt terrible about it. But Sierra wasn't ready to listen about how sorry he was, she didn't really care. She just stood up and left the cafe, called Tasman and went to her place to cry her heart out. Everything was happening too fast.
Just when Sierra thought all the surprised were over and done with, she went home to her mother packing up their things. Her brother Seth pulled her aside, telling her that their mom had decided that they needed to move closer to family, to New York City where her cousin Shay lived with her family. Sierra spent two days in her room, letting no one inside but Tasman and Seth. She only snapped out of it when Tasman smacked some sense into her, reprimanding her for being selfish while her mother was falling apart. And she was right. Tasman promised to visit every school vacation and to apply to all the same colleges as Sierra "nothing as silly as distance can rip up best friends" she had said, making Sierra cry. But she had accepted it then. She would be moving, to New York, taking her senior year of high school in style at some fancy NYC private school, shays school. Sierra started to get excited. New York was the hub, and she could get to know it with her mom and brother, with her favorite cousin as a tour guide. She rebelled a little bit and chopped half of her hair off, dip died it in an ombré style. She bought more makeup and taught herself how to really use it with endless YouTube videos. And she bought new clothes. All edgy, funky clothes. Sierra didn't want to be another prep school girl. She wanted to be herself, and in New York, it's go big or get out.
The new apartment the family is living in is beautiful. It's just Sierra and her mother living in it, since Seth rooms at his college. But they're in a building in Manhattan, with a doorman and a front desk and lavish expensive....everything. It's insane and Sierra can't wait to explore this new life more.

History: She grew up in LA before her family moved when she was 10. She started modeling at the age of 13 and never really cared for it. Her parents made her continue. Her mother always had dreams of being a model, but when she became pregnant at a young age, she decided to live out her dream through her only daughter.
Her parents put her through rigorous training as a ballet dancer as well, in hopes of her becoming famous. She started training at the age of three. She also took up contemporary. She dances almost every style, but contemporary and ballet are her favourite. She also dances very goofily when she's with her closest of friends

Her dad died when she only 3. She hardly remembers him. He passed away in a terrible car crash, he was hit head on by a drunk driver, and this had a huge impact on her life. She never even approaches a car after she's been drinking and refuses to let others, even if she has to make a scene.
Her mother remarried soon after her biological father's death. The man she married, while rich and able to provide for them, is a monster. He is both mentally and physically abusive to Alexandra, and her mother lets it happen.

Colette lives with her mother, Sophia, her father Gerald, and her brother Etienne, on the Upper East Side of New York.

Once an Upper East Sider, always an Upper East Sider. From birth Colette naturally preferred the designer baby blankets and played dress up in her mother's Valentino gowns. She was pampered and spoiled and at 8 years old, Colette began to realize that she was truly different from other people. She was above them, in her Dolce and Gabbana and Celine outfits. But it was when she saw the Alexander McQueen exhibit at the Met when she was 13, that her love affair with fashion began. She began to religiously study fashion and at the end of her research, she could boast being able to identify the decade a dress was made starting from 1700. However, her rise to power was a different story. She was shunned in elementary school because she didn't look like anyone else. She wasn't a single race and therefore, they couldn't pigeonhole her. So she decided that if she was so rare, she should be elevated higher above them. On New Year's Eve 2011, she threw the biggest bash in Manhattan. She planned the whole thing herself, from booking the Waldorf Astoria Hotel to the flower arrangements. This now famous and coveted annual party catapulted her into the Society pages of every newspaper in New York at the ripe age of 13. Now she reigns supreme with an icy look and hot parties.

Celeste is a strong young woman. There really isn’t anything the world could throw at her that would cause her to give up. She knows how to play with people’s minds, and has since she was just a little girl. She gets inside people’s heads, figures out what gets them upset, what makes them tick. Then she uses it against them. It works quite effectively, really. Being raised in an upper-class family, Celeste has always had everything she’s ever wanted, and she means to keep it that way. In social settings, Celeste has always been hated for her harsh words and natural ability to make people love her. All she has to do is smile, and she can hook whoever she’d like. She generally uses this gift for evil, not good. But of course she has friends, one good one. They would each do anything for each other, including haul dead bodies to secret burial grounds (that hasn’t happened YET). No matter how cold Celeste seems, she really does care about those she loves. She wouldn’t let anyone lay a harmful finger on them, and would much rather keep them safe and happy than allow herself to be as such. Early Life

Celeste was born to Brian and Anne Callaghan, two very loving parents that were happy to have a daughter. Anne has always sworn that Celeste had her father wrapped around her finger the moment she opened her eyes. The two didn’t have any children besides Celeste, and with the jobs they had, were easily able to provide for her. Celeste’s parents have worked at the CIA since they were young adults, and over the years, moved higher and higher in the ranks. Brian is actually the head of the corporation, Anne not far below his position. Celeste was raised around guns and boxing rings, always in Baby Dior while present. She didn’t have a lot of friends in school, but made sure to have the best sleepovers and birthday parties growing up. When she was 10, Celeste started to train with her parents to be an agent. She was in heaven. She was talented in the practices, and always kicked ass when it came to boys her age. She went on her first mission when she was 14, with her partner, Oliver. She hated his guts at first, but learned to love the stupid guy.

Young Adulthood

When Celeste was in high school, she constantly got into trouble. Once she got older, she started to become popular at school. Everyone seemed to like how honest she was, they all really wanted her approval. And Celeste lapped it up, she became that snotty, overbearing girl. She was given the power to chose who was popular and who wasn't, and you can be sure that she ran with it. She never stopped getting in trouble, though. She would break the rules just to see the looks on her teachers faces. It was priceless, and the reactions of the other kids? Even better. She got the reputation of being wild, that one girl that was up for anything that seemed fun. She never wanted it to end, and she didn't think it would. But she was wrong. One day, her father became so angry with her that he had one of his secretary’s contact his brother, Celeste Uncle Roy, about having Celeste go to stay with him in New York. There was an all girls school there that his unruly daughter could attend, and he thought it would straighten her out, so he decided it was the right choice. Celeste isn't vey happy about having to go stay with her uncle. She had so many friends back in DC, not to mention the after school work with her parents that she loved. But all that is gone now, because her father is too lazy to try and help his daughter himself. Celeste is trying to be optimistic though. Maybe this is what she needs? A place to be her fiery, sarcastic self where no one knows her, she's interested to see what it's like to be the new kid, because in all honesty, she's never really done it before.

Lorraine is a very kind and sweet girl and will do almost anything for those she cares about.

Lorraine was born in England, but she was transported over to the US due to the adoption she was put up for. Her birth Mother, Melissa didn't think herself capable of taking care of a baby on her own so she gave her up. With in a few days Lorraine was adopted by a nice family. At least that's what everyone thought. Lorraine grew up in a household of 8 people not counting herself. All of them were older and mostly boys. Only two girl, the mom and one sister. Lorraine's new mother and father had six children together and wanted one more she guessed. Lorraine was an outsider to her new family, which is probably one of the reasons why she is so shy and quite.
As far as school goes, Lorraine never made any friends. The one friend she did have died of cancer which was tragic for her. Going through Elementary was the easiest. Lorraine was very smart in all of her classes even though she was quite and didn't ask questions. Throughout Middle School was a bit harder. She was picked on a lot which she still is in high school but she can't really do anything about that. Lorraine has had no romantic relationship of any kind. So she has been single all 18 years of her life. She doesn't mind it really.
