Haha no, actually most groups post the new sign up immediately after the old one closes. Plus, I'd rather get the sign ups open early than late. :)

I'm posting two books and my theme is cookbooks.
The Frugal Gourmet by Jeff Smith
Jerusalem: A Cookbook
by Yotam Ottolenghi, Sami Tamimi
Yay! Just Another Fangirl, choose three books that you would like to read next month and I'll add them to the pool :)

I have to read the ones from the library anyway in September, but maybe I'll get to them in August already (though I doubt it).
Haha wow! Okay, sounds good. I'll add your name to the roster and you can just post your books whenever you're ready. :)

I'm actually working on that right now. I should post my book's sometime in the next half hour. :)

Okay, here are my books :)
Hourglass
Stargirl
Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption

Is it possible that Stargirl is a childrens book?

I could probably post my books too already but there are so many and since I'll now order five new books from the library, I won't get to all of my booky, anyway. Plus, I still have three books from the library to read and two that have yet to arrive. That'll be a busy reading month ..
Wow! I'm so busy with school right now that I hardly have time to read. I'm doing my best to make time though!
And thanks for reminding me! :P

Ok cool! I've been wanting to read that one since the movie came out last Christmas. :) If you would like, feel free to add a third book to the pool.

I'm going to try:
The Fold by Peter Clines
And the Mountains Echoed by Khaled Housseini
Absolution by Amanda Dick

The Light Between Oceans
Legend and
Amy and Roger's Epic Detour
because I borrowed them from the library and have to read them in September anyway.
Updated!
Honestly y'all, I love this challenge. I always end up finding so many new books to read. Plus it gives me extra motivation to actually get reading! :D

Nah, I'll stick to the theme. LOL.
Julia: That's one reason I decided that my September theme would be cookbooks. They are fairly easy to read, even the one by Yotam Ottolenghi, compared to almost all the other books; with the POSSIBLE exception of CINDER. And unlike the others, even GONE WITH THE WIND, they don't really make you THINK that much...unless it gets you thinking about actually cooking.

Great! I've already requested about four books from the pool that will hopefully be here next week :)

UNBROKEN: page 1
THE FRUGAL GOURMET: page 73
JERUSALEM: page 129
LOL> Coincidence? I think not:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GfC64...
Ok Aaron, I will add you to the list when I get home.
Sign-ups are now closed. Everyone may now begin reading!! :D

Yes Julia, your book still counts! Even here where I live it was about 9a.m. :)

Aaron, I just looked over your books. Keeping Faith and Making Love can be part of the pool, but the other two books are too far into their respective series. (Goodreads says they are #10 and #8 in their series.) Because they are so far into the series, it is unlikely anyone else would be able to read them this month, so we try to limit books to the first or second of a series. Please choose a replacement and I'll add the other two.

Slaughter

I already wondered, since it was like 2 p.m. in my country.

I think in the past I have always tried to read it during the middle of a reading slump, so it hasn't worked out too well :P
