i know, me either...and i hate thinking they are going to end the series...cause we'd all keep reading
I know Becca (author) loves the book
When I like a book. Sometimes I see what books the author loves and read those books.

The sex addict/alcoholic theme is new to me, though there may be other books out there with characters dealing with these issues. But I don't think that is what makes the series so good. It's the emotion that pours out of the characters. It's how well defined they each are. Each member of the crew is their own person, with their own nuances. Like Lily and Lo's comic book love, Rose's relationship with her mother in relation to her other sister's relationship with their mom. Ryke's excessive cursing. Daisy's modeling and all that comes along with it. The fact that not only do Lo, Lily, and Connor come from wealthy families, but their products are a part of the story. The soda, baby products, magnets. These details could be overwhelming, but somehow they are woven into the fabric of the book seamlessly. I think the fact that the characters jump off the pages at you like they are real people, coupled with the Ritchie's ability to get us in the heads of each one, thus feeling each characters' emotions right along with them, is what makes this series great. And ultimately incomparable.
I'm almost done with book 1....speeding to het caught up with you fangirls! loving every page of this so far!

It's the swagger! How do you capture that in a photo? You don't!

I love Lola! Great series! ;)
If you're going for dark and twisty, Night Owl by M. Pierce is crazy awesome. I haven't come across a series I loved as much as Addicted, though!
It isn't the same per se, but it's about sisters. The Thompson Sisters series by Charles Sheehan Miles. Yes, I know. It's written by a dude, but it was good. I read out of order on accident but was glad I did cuz I read Julia's song last and sobbed my eyes out. Another one is the Sinners on Tour series by Olivia Cunning. Also not the same, but you get to know all the band members. It's OK. The first, third, and fourth books are the best out of the five. The similarity is just that you follow the same cast of characters for 5 books.
Nothing else really captures the gut wrenching quality of Lily and Lo, nor the twists in Rose and Connor's relationship. And I'm 50% into Hothouse Flower, but you can't really top Ryke's possessive vulgarity (why is that so freaking hot?) So....yeah. That didn't really help much! ha!
