This book takes place mostly in China and London, England, although a few parts take place in the U.S. and Switzerland.
I generally like books about Chinese culture, but this book just didn't do it for me. It was about Chinese revolutionaries, so it was more about rebelling against culture than living in it, and the story was told through the eyes of a White European translator living in London.
Can't say I'd recommend this one, although if it had been just the stories of the two Chinese characters it had potential to have been a lot better. (I really hated the translator.)
