Finnegans Wake Grappa discussion

wan bywan bywan, 1001, the ten hundred-letter thunderwords + 1 (for regenerations sake), for the sake of beginning anew, so signifier of the mother-bringer of regenerations and plurabilities, the 111 names for ALP's mamafesta... what else, dearies? 'tis everywhere emerging...

I am currently making a 1132 list but will be more than happy to make a 111 list when it is finished.

I am starting on a list of all the 111 instances today and should have it done in a week, I imagine.
As for the thunderwords McLuhan published a pretty cool book which breaks them down into meaning.
He explains the reason for there being 1001 could be a reference to Arabian Nights.

2 years later and no list.
I will say though that Gordon mentions 111 Anti-English of the Irish parliament against the act of union as a possible reason for the number.
I haven't found a place in FW where the number is used for the specifically and I have no reference for the historical vote but interesting nonetheless.
