Spy Vs. Spook series Mark & Quinn discussion

This is actually a hard announcement for me to make, but Tinnean has given me permission to let everyone in the group know. Dreamspinner Press no longer wants to publish the series. Tinnean will be moving forward with the series, though, and she has the next book written. So hopefully it won't take too long for her to get it out to us.

They didn't like the fact the next book is Mark's book (it's awesome, though). And Tinnean doesn't want to change everything, so they rejected it.

Well many series changed publisher. Like Cut and Run. That went to Riptide :)

I'm still really sad, but I knew it was a possibility.

I'm sad buti trust Tinnean will not give up. So self published or by a publisher it will be out! That's what I believe :)

She has a few books to release in the series still. So we will have 3 more, I think. But she is very upset about the whole Dreamspinner thing and I know she will probably be more cautious in the future. :)

Yeah. She knew they didn't want it the way it is now. But she was debating the changes. At the end of the day, though, it wasn't the direction she wanted to go in and so they said no to the rest of the series. :(

I wonder if this applies to the spin-off series too? It is part of the Syp vs. Spook world after all.

The spin-off will be published with DSP in a month or two, I think. But they have accepted it and it will be published with them. :)

I would say Amazon, ARe, and maybe Smashwords. I'll ask her later. :)

Smashwords seems like the one that give more royalties to the writer (I'm not sure. People told me). That's why if I see the same book in amazon, ARe and smashwords I buy from the last one

I tend to buy from ARe. But I think Amazon and Smashwords are pretty much the same. Not sure, though. :)

I think in some cases, Amazon pay more. They do when it comes to paperbacks anyway. And I know they are good with their royalties.

F-the publishers. I'm thrilled she's self-publishing and staying true to her core. Vincent is the core of the series..he deserved his own book.

I stayed up until past midnight the other day re-reading all the shorts on her website. I have to say, I'm totally loving Theo and Will. They're so adorable!
