FROSTBITE MOVIE PETITION!!!!!!!!!
The only way this will work is if they did a "Kickstarter" fundraiser like Veronica Mars. I hope it does though. I LOVED LOVED LOVED the books!
I signed as well! The books are incredible and get better and better! It would be a shame if they all didn't get made into movies!
I was just going to post this here, wow. Glad to see it is already posted here, I was expecting to get a lot of signatures. Only 513 needed at this time.
How will a petition get the film made? Surely they need funding, a production company willing to produce it, etc...?

This is similar in what they did with the Veronica Mars movie. People petitioned for a movie and they got it. This petition's purpose is to convince the Producers to make another movie
Helen wrote: "How will a petition get the film made? Surely they need funding, a production company willing to produce it, etc...?"Yeah, and it's not like signing this is a guarantee ticket purchase. The first movie only stayed showing in my area theaters for 2 weeks. We went on opening weekend and there were only 2 other people in the theater.

The Veronica Mars grassroots movement involved a Kickstarter campaign that raised over US$ 5 million via fans simply sending in money. Quite a bit more substantial than simply signing a petition, I'd say. And at this point I can't see anything like that even close to happening re: the VA franchise.
Little warning too all. If you love these books as much as i do please dont watch the film they have completly ruined everything about the book the only thing i enjoyed about the film was the fighting. Its a big dissapointment. I hope to go that if they want too do a 2nd film PLEASE PLEASE sell the rights to another company so it can be saved as i want dont want to watch another disney channel tv series turned film
Jerrica wrote: "Signed! Hope it helps, I really want a movie for FrostBite"Me too. I want to see Adrian.
I signed and told everyone I know to sign! :) I think all 6 books should be made into a movie! I love the *Vampire Academy* series and loved the movie! :) I can't wait for the others to be made! :)

"Actually the fans did not simply send money. Kickstarter works by getting the people to offer money for a set goal, if not enough money gets offered, the campaign fails and no money is lost. If the goal is successful AND the set period is over, the money is charged.
The VM Kickstarter was one of most successful.
Not having seen the VA -Film yet, I cannot say wether I really want a Kickstarter for Frostbite. I signed the petition, though.
And the people behind the Veronica Mars Kickstarter where saying, if another VM movie would be worked out, it would not be with a Kickstarter - there is a lot of work involved and they want to concentrate on the movie (some of this is a guess from me, there may be other reasons).
For me that is totally different from sending money, not knowing what will happen, how much is needed, will I get my money back etc. .
Here's to hoping for a Bloodlines-Movie or TV-Series (which I think might be a better fit).

You're Welcome! :)
I just found the petition when I went looking for news on Frostbite being a movie. To think they don't want to make it... :(I signed of course. 8413 left
Question: will it be like the first one? because that first one was not all that good...and that is just my opinion. No disrespect to the fandom. Just saying..
I totally agree @KiaThe movie was pretty good...if you never read the book
Like me: I wanted to gouge my eyes out
No Lissa doesn't know about Dimitri & Rose
And why does Mason look more moroi than ANY CHARACTER IN THE MOVIE
(Lots more but I got hw :/ )

I thought it was a good movie but I felt that it was too short and not enough character development. It would have done better if it was just a bit longer.
I want to see Frostbite be made so much, as well as the other books but they need people like those who worked on Harry Potter, Hunger Games and Divergent to make the film or something.

VM had it, can't see FB getting one.

I'm not signing the petition as of right now. But I honestly can't see how it matters. We don't know how much the studio lost on VA#1, since the studio is apparently too embarrassed to release the budget figure, but it had to be pretty substantial. As in the $10 million dollar range, possibly more. It only grossed $12 million world-wide, per boxoffice.com. And the studio only sees somewhere around half of that figure. Meaning this movie lost either a lot of money or a WHOLE lot of money. We may never know.

My friend told me the same thing. I think that those movies had a bigger budget than vampire academy. You have to spend money to make money. At least that's what my friend says
