My favorite series used to be Harry Potter. Now it's Brandon Sanderson's Stormlight Archive series.

My favorite author used to be J.K. Rowling. Now a group of other authors have displaced her. Rowling's Robert Galbraith pseudonym seemed to have gained too much life of its own. I feel like Galbraith wrote Casual Vacancy, not Rowling. I tried to read the newly published Cormoran Strike book, but I gave up in the face of the flowery, florid, and purple prose. Now my top 3 books read are :
1.The Way of Kings
2. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
3. Words of Radiance

My favorite series are,

The Dark Elements by Jennifer L. Armentrout
The Grey Wolves By Quinn Loftis

My favorite series is The Lord of the Rings for the beauty and mystical enchantment followed by The Chronicles of Narnia for the humor and spiritual allegory and Legacy, the King Arthur series by Mary Stewart. This last one really brings the Dark Ages world and culture of Arthur's kingdom to life.

It said series. And DB is a series which I like more than the likes of Harry Potter. And it IS a book series. So why not?

It's really good, but I hate the main protagonist and hence -->not my favorite series."

I liked it when I read it. I was in 8th grade probably, but now I find it crappy.

You will not like the movie if you did not like the book or you might like Theo James in the movie but I am sure about the former and doubtful about the latter in your case, Arpit! :D

Lol. I haven't seen the movie since the book was a disaster :P

A little while ago, I may have written, "Eh, it's the Kushiel's Legacy series, why not?" But I'm currently digging J.L. Bryan's "Instruments of Magic" series. It's a YA fantasy series that's simply a lot of fun, being reminiscent to your average CGI animated movie (a good one, at that). If you like romantic stories that are, well, fun, check it out!

I think Harry Potter series are the best!
There is no doubt that every book in the series has nice plot and is interesting, though some do have a filmsy plot. I would also like to go with Dan Brown's Robert Langdon series. They are excellent.
