CHORF Central Command discussion

This is a tough call for me -- if this were a novella I'd say it's a sure pick, but by my estimate it's around 45,000 words, which makes it a novel by Hugo standards and I don't know that it'll stand up to the competition. Plus, as enjoyable as it is, it feels like there's too much packed into such a short space.

Apparently I was asleep at the wheel, since I hadn't realized this had come out. And when I went to the Goodreads page for it I saw a new book from Kim Stanley Robinson, Aurora, another I didn't remember hearing about (probably had but had forgotten about). Along with Seveneves coming out this year, it's been a good year for popular authors of hard sci-fi.
