JADE'S P.O.V
I hid in my room, the painful screams where echoing down the long hallways. Father always liked to make them suffer before he collected them. I couldn't get to sleep, no with that noise. I turned and shuffled in my bed, unable to close me eyes. Father said I would have to carry on what he was going when he died. Sighing, I sat up. The screams where now gone, but replaced with silence. There was only my soft breath in the room, before I heard a meow. I petted my cat and brought him closer. Father said he was going to take away Felix if he saw him again, which is why I kept him locked in my room. He was my only friend, apart from the many dolls that lined the side of my room. There eyes where unblinking, but it seemed as they where breathing. I got out of bed, placing Felix on the bed as I walked out of my room and locked the door. There where painting everywhere, and many, many rooms. I still didn't understand where the girls went. Father brought home many girls, and some boys, yet the rooms where so empty, as time where eating them away. Sighing once again, I walked someway down to the Hallway, to my Father's work place. I was about to knock on the door when I heard one more scream, sending me jumping out of my skin. I shook my head, and walked away. I could always talk to him in the morning, and it wasn't that important. Father didn't like to be taken away from his work. I walked down the stairs, hungry for food. I smiled as I looked at my painting. To my Father I was a very skilled painter, and I had even helped him pain the faces of some of the dolls! There my best, and I keep them on the end of my bed. Felix didn't like them, not like I did. He always got ran under my bed when I played them them. Thinking back to the memory, I walked into the large kitchen. Opening the cabinet, I felt as if someone was watching me. Shivers where sent down my spine as I raced back to my room and closed. I had got some cookies. Felix liked to eat them, as well. He would eat anything, really. I sat there, eating my food with Felix. I heard a knock at my door and pushed Felix under the bed. I know Father wouldn't hurt him if he was in my room, but I always wanted to be safe. Opening the door, my Father stood there with a new doll. This one was taller than the rest he had ever done, and it's face was white, empty. "Would you like to paint?" He asked with a warm smile. I jumped up and down, "Yes yes yes yes! Thankyou!" I almost shouted, grabbing the doll, and walking back into my room, going through many things to find my painting set. "Ok then, I'm going to bed. Love you Dolly~" He said, closing the door. I smiled, he liked to call me dolly because of my beauty, or that's what Father says. My name it's actually Dolly, It's Jade. I smiled, finding my painting kit. I patted the floor for Felix to come out and he sat on my lap while I got to work. She would have purple eyes, with a red hint. And then I would add...Oh! She can have pale lips! And...No, no. Something is missing here. I looked around my room, taking my painting kit. She could have a blush! Felix purred one I finished. It seemed he liked it, but I knew he would run when I started playing with it. Smiling, I picked it up and Felix bolted out of my lap, under the bed. "Hehe, it's ok Felix!" He said, laying on my belly while playing with it. It had a white dress on, with a crimson red belt. "Let's...Call you..." I though for a moment, sitting up right with the Doll in my lap, thinking of a name. "JoJo! Your name will be JoJo!" I smiled, laying down again and playing, picking up another doll I had painted, I called that one Ocean. Playing with the two, I can't remember when I fell asleep, but I did because I woke up in the morning on the floor with the dolls still in my hands, but Felix was on the bed. The morning sun shimmered though the split in my blinds, as I opened them. I placed my dolls when and yawned. Father would be bring home one more girl today, and I really wanted to meet her. I spent most my time messing around with more Dolls, and then I made myself lunch. I didn't go to school because we didn't have the money too. I heard a bang at the door. I ran tot he front door to see the new girl. She had red, almost crimson hair. She wore black glasses, but she didn't seem nice. I hid behind a corner, watching my Father cuss at the new girl. She seemed to not like it here and tried to struggle free. She even spat in my Fathers face and he slapped her around her face. He dragged her along to his work. I mumbled under my breath. This had happened once before, and she had run away. I hope she didn't! Mabye we could become friends? I sighed. Finishing up my lunch and walked back to my room. Felix liked to play with me, and I played with him. I expected to hear screaming, but I didn't. I found this do, and walked to my Fathers work place. After I knocked and didn't get a respond, I opened the door. And froze. There where dolls, dead people, guts and everything around the place. My eyes scanned the room until I came about my dead Father. I ran up to him to find a knife stabbed in his heart. I was angry, who could have done this!? Suddenly there was a flash of red and the door behind me closed. I ran up to it, and slammed on the door, it seemed someone was almost sitting on it, leaning up on it. I felt tears swell up in my eyes, and I stopped and heard heavy breathing on the other side of the door, but it soon stopped. "Please...Let me out!" I cried, slamming the door once more. I felt the door open and I almost fell. I caught myself, and Looked to see that red haired girl. We stood, face to face. Well, I looked up at her, she was taller and seemed older. Say...12? I was only 9, but it didn't take me long to see blood marks on her outfit, and I added two and two. She slowly started backing up, and so did I. Not out of fear, but anger. I ran into the room, pulled the knife and ran after her. I didn't know where she went, but she sound of smashing glass soon brought me to where she was. The girl was indeed smashing glass, a window. It looked like she was going jump. It would kill her! She looked around at me. I wanted to give her something to think of me, and to think that she ruined my life. I threw the knife at her, it missed her head, but caught her shoulder. This sent her falling back, and falling out the window anyway. I heard a loud thump, and ran to look out the window. She was there, lying there. It seemed like she was dead until she got up, shaking and started to run into the forest. Lucking for her, in the way of the town. I was alone. I couldn't live like this, I wouldn't.
I jumped.

She opened her eyes. Her eye's heavy with sleep. She turned around and noticed that she wasn't in her bed but on her couch. She saw that her good friend, Sean was next to her. She remembered what day it was and sat up. This was the day they where going to the park. The girl shook Sean. "W-whaa..?" she smiled, "Get up, lazy! Can't you remember what day it is?" She asked.
"Go away Jade, five more mins..." Sean mumbled.
"Ugh! We're going to Jurassic World!" Jade shook him more until Sean opened his eyes. "Ok- Ok, ok! I'm up. Stop maing me sick!" He said with a smile, sitting up. "Ok...I'm goign to get dresses and then get brunch." Jade said, jumped of the couch an running to her room. (hide spoiler)]
(view spoiler)[Oliver was born into a different world than most of the people around him. This often frustrates him, constantly having to deal with people who underestimate him, or talk down to him. The way he thinks of it, he deals with the reality of the world better than everyone else. But there is still an essence of innocence in him, despite everything he’s gone through in his short life. He likes to think that he knows everything, that he’s okay with it all. He wants to believe that he’s a tough guy, that he’s not a child like people say. However, there’s a lot of things he doesn’t understand yet, things that he needs time for.
Oliver was one of the rare births that occurred in a Survivors Camp, and his mother passed away just days after. His father had become infected before he was born, and was executed by the camp leaders. Growing up an orphan didn’t confuse him, seeing as families weren’t all that common in the first place. What he did find difficult was being around people who were worlds apart from him, it was impossible for him to relate to their nostalgia for the Earth before the disease, because he was never part of that world. He lashed out often because of this, and rarely socialised with the other survivors in the camp. Many people tried to hide the outside world from him, tried to pretend that everything was the way they remembered it when they were his age. He was trapped inside the camp, and it drove him crazy.
On a naive attempt to show everyone that he was capable of surviving for a few hours outside the camp, he sneaked out during the night to collect supplies. It ended poorly when he was cornered by a Rogue Group, who decided that it could be a bit fun to bring Oliver with them for a few weeks before the novelty would wear off.
For the following days Oliver was merely a pet that they poked and prodded until they got a reaction out of him.
Two weeks later the Rogue Group attempted to raid a group of Drifter’s, not anticipating the size of the group. The Drifter’s easily defeated them, and ended up taking in Oliver. He was hesitant at first after his previous experience with people outside of the Survivor’s Camp, but he slowly warmed up to them.
While staying overnight at a camp, the crate containing the cure arrived. Even though they all took the injection, there wasn’t a sure agreement on whether or not going to their camp was a good idea. Eventually, Oliver agreed to go with Christine, a woman he’d become quite fond of while staying with them. As horrible as it was, a part of Oliver wanted to destroy the cure. He had no idea what kind of change was going to happen now, and this was the world he was used to. He didn’t think he could handle a change like that. (hide spoiler)]
(view spoiler)[I don’t think there’s enough land on this Earth for all the dead bodies. We stopped counting the deaths a long time ago, now we count those who are still alive. There are only five of us now, and I know we’re close. I can feel it. My arms and legs feel ready to drop off, my patches are yellow and foul smelling, and I think there’s more blood in my lungs than air, but we’re so close.
No one expected it to happen. One day you were living your life, the next you were praying for it. It destroyed the human race, nature had taken back the Earth we had claimed as our own. Or so it seemed. In the last moments of humanity, a cure had been found, dropped from the skies like little miracles. There are only a few hundred survivors left in this post-apocalyptic world, and they’ll soon find that they’re not alone. (hide spoiler)]
