This is my problem with books when they come out so far apart. What is the deal with Danica' past? I truly cannot remember. Please help. I don't feel like rereading the whole first book.

i have that same problem too which is why i often find myself re-reading books just to catch up. Let's see - dannika came from a trailer park background, with a mother that tended to hook up with less than savories. her mother was abused by those men, and one even raped Dannika. I believe that it was dannika's sister that walked in on that one and that's why she left. that led Dannika not to trust folks and to have a really off relationship with her mom.

I just read this book last month, and I'm already forgetting stuff.
