This is the first book in a series of five. It started out as a BBC radio soap in 1939 and then took book form in 1947. In 1958 it became a TV soap. One of Scotland's most beloved series and called Scotland's happy soap. It was a joy to read and I can't wait to find the other four in the series. Has anyone else read these?
