Vampire Academy discussion

Annie was walking around the academy by herself bored. She had just walked out of her math lesson as the teacher was being a bitch. She hated the fact that she had to study to be a guardian when all she wanted was to be normal or at least a moroi who could be whatever they wanted to. Just because she is a dhampir doesn't mean she should have to put her life on the line for anyone else.

Adrian sat on a near by bench with his arms resting on the back. When he saw his delightful little(( I forgot how old )) half sister. "What's up sis?" He smiled as he made no attempt to get up to meet her.

"Not a lot, just walked out of class. The teacher was being a bitch because I couldn't so some equation. Like I'm going to need to know how to do them anyway. Even if I wasn't going to be a guardian for some random moroi, I wouldn't need Maths," she said rolling her eyes at the stupidity of her teacher.

He smile ad shook his head. "Maybe you'll be in a life or death situation were you need to know what pie is?" He laughed. "How is you mom doing ?"

"Like that will ever happen. She's dead remember? That's why I live with you, dad and Danielle," she said in sassy tone.

"Sorry I thought your mom was my mom. I just seemed right to say it like that." It was true. He felt as though him and his mother where nothing a like but her hand Annie had some relativity.

"Fair enough. I have lived with since I was born so.it does seem weird that I don't think of her as my mum. She's her normal self at the moment." She said.

Aurora entered the courtyard, glad to be away from the bitch in the hlls

"Good, I haven't talked to them in a while. Dad kicked me out again." He shrugged. He just came to the academy when he did that. He sat back and patted the seat next to him.

Annie sat down next to him. " Dad really seems to hate you at the moment..."She said trailing off as she gave him a hug. She thought it was unfair the way their father treated her brother

"He never changes. It's okay." He hugged her back and sat back. "How is he treating you? Are you able to survive with his ignorance?" He said mimicking his voice.

"He's still pushing me to become a guardian as apparently that is all I'm good for and he said I would end up like my mother if I didn't change my ways " Annie said sighing softly. She just wished her family.would be supportive no matter what she wished to do.

"Well you know what I think. I mean its not like I'm the most respective moron." He laughed and put his hands behind his head and looked at the dark light blue sky. It turning lighter towards the edge of the earth.

She laid her head on his shoulder to comfort him and to comfort herself. Neither of them ever seemed to be able to do anything to please their father.

He wrapped an arm around her and looked back at the sky's. "I'm glad I have a sister. I would hate to go through this alone."

"And I'm glad I have a brother who is always there for me no matter how annoying he may be," she said leaning into him a little bit.

"I'm not annoying." He protested. "I'm a good brother, I even have you the safe sex talk." He smiled that was the most awkwardest moment but it had to be done.

"You can be but brothers are supposed to be and that talk was extremely awkward for both of us," she said shaking her head at the memory.

"Well at least you know that I care." He put his hand on his chest an gave her 'I'm a saint' look. "Just know that if you need condoms. Don't heaitate to call." He smiled.

"Yes I do," she said with a sweet smile before she hit him for his next comment. He had to ruin the cute brother-sister moment didn't he?

"Ow!" He moved back and land gave a painful look. "Way to show brotherly love." He smirked.

She smirked at him with her eyebrow raised. "Maybe you should think before you speak," she said.

Verena strolled around the Academy. Her fingers brushing by the plants letting them grow. The bloomed to her touch. When she saw Adrian and Annie her face hardened. She didn't know they were brother and sister so she saw it as a display of affection. She didn't think it should be displayed in public. "Excuse me." Verena spoke as she walked towards them. "I don't think you guys need to hug in public. It's a display of affection."

Annie glared at her. "What are you on about? People are allowed to hug and anyway he is my brother. " she said snappily. She did not like people telling her what to do.

"Oh sorry I didn't realize." She she bent her head down and looked at her again. "I know people are aloud to hug I just don't like it. Women were meant to be Conservative." she explained.

Adrian smirked. "Well I think you should take that as a compliment sister. That means your pretty enough to go out with me." He laughed and leaned forward as if to kiss her.

Annie smiled at him. She didn't agree with the conservative view at all. She wasn't sure whether to play along with Adrian or to slap him. She decided on playing along.

Adrian kissed her on the cheek once and wrapped his arms around her and made kissing noises. He made it look like he was kissing her all over.

Verena gasped in surprise. At first she thought her actually was kissing her. But the way he moved his arms showed other wise. "That's not funny." she protested. She crossed her arms.

Annie laughed at her brothers behavior and the way he was making fun of the girl. "Quite the contrary, I think it's amusing," she said.

"Please stop I'm not comfortable with this." She squirmed. She rarely saw her parents show affection thus why she didn't like to see it.

"I think I should get going. You two kids have school tomorrow." He laughed and got up from the bench. He walked past Verena and stopped behind her. He rested a hand on her neck as he felt her shiver. "You should probably get used to it." He said walking away.

"I don't think I'm going. I might skip again but it was nice talking to you big brother," Annie said smiling at him and running over to him. She hugged him before returning back to Verena. "He's right you know" she said.

"Ugh." She shook her head. How dare he touch her! She thought. "That was so uncalled for. What happened to men courting?" She crossed her arms.

"Umm, Feminism and all of that happened," she said.

It was late for vampires, almost dawn, but still dark enough for her to be outside. Perfect time to have privacy. Ayden looked around as if it was about a spy mission, minus the spying part. She was out and she had to be careful not to run into any guardians. "Okay, coast clear." She sighed and rubbed her hands together, preparing to use her magic. She would attempt to lift the rock in front of her and hold it in the air, some feet above her height.

Alex was laying on the ground near by. She wanted to see the sun rise, she missed the sunlight and was tired of being cooped up in the academy walls. Her hair was fanned out around her like a halo, and he. Eyes shinned off of the star's light. She could here foots steps but she could careless at this moment.

She nearly dropped the rock when she realized she was not alone. Crap, that could've been ugly. She considered herself resistant, but her head was not that resistant. "For Vladimir's sake! I thought there was no one else out here!" She hissed at the girl.

"Only little'o me." She laughed into the air. Se still laid perfectly still on the ground. She was not scared of the girls powers, often earth users wanted to e outside, it was part of their need for nature. "Maybe next time you should look around before you start lifting things." She giggled.

"Ha ha ha," Ayden gave up and went to sit down next to her, leaving the rock to fall to the ground. "I thought I had." She crossed her arms and glanced up at the sky. Safe from sunlight for now. "They won't let us practice magic for defense, so I'm kind of teaching myself." Surely, a dhampir would get it.

"They just don't want you Royals to break a nail, let the other Moroi think there better than what the Royals call them to be and so that we dhampir a aren't totally useless. I mean god forbid we get to relax for once." She said calmly looking up at the stars. She could see the pink towards the edge if the earth becoming brighter and brighter.

"Thanks for the confidence. You know, for being the ones with the powers, you guys have so little faith in us." Ayden didn't say more about it. Most of the time she kept these opinions to herself. Better for it to stay that way. "I'm Ayden, by the way." She introduced herself before she had to leave because of the sun.

"It's not my fault, it's really the queen and councils's fault." Ale stated. She didn't really care if the Moroi wanted to use their powers, she thought that if they were using it for good, why did I matter? "Alex." She stated.

Suddenly, Ayden had a wonderful, but crazy idea. She cleared her throat. "I guess so. It's nice to meet you Alex. I have the powers part covered, mostly. I'm hoping it'll get better in time. But what I really need help with, is real combat." She threw her a glance from the corner of her eye. "If only I knew a dhampir that could help..."

She looked at her and laughed before tuning her head back to the stars. "You don't want me. Sure I'm a hell of a fighter but, I'm no teacher. If anyone would teach you it would be my brother Eddie. He's helping that Mia girl. But sadly or you he's not at the academy at the moment." She sighed.

Ayden was disappointed. She exhaled loudly, making sure she knew. "Eddie. Alright. I'll talk to him some time." No biggie. At least now she had a solid idea of what she could do. She just had to do something. The sun rays reached her feet. Some minutes more and she'd start feeling tired and weak. "Anyway, thanks for the... help? Gotta go to bed."

"Welcome, but I can't say I helped. It'd be bad for my reputation around here." She laughed as got off the ground. She loved the sun rays on her skin, se new it was late to so she made her way inside as well.

She walked with her back inside the academy. "I won't say a word." Ayden joked. Unfortunately, her reaction to sun rays was completely opposite from that one of Alex's. She envied that of dhampirs, and it sure as hell showed on her face.
