Morgan Where goods are sold.

message 2: by Morgan (new)

Morgan Marrik dodged the crowds bumping and shooting him as he made his way through the market district. He wore a dark robe that covered his whole body so people didnt notice who or what he was. He pulled the good down farther as he spotted a dark alley. He slide into it, hiding in the shadows, feeling secure and safe.

Elora gracefully wove in and out of the crowd at the market district. She had needed some herbs for her special Rose Chai tea. Having everything she needed, she turns down an alley that would serve as a shortcut back to her cottage. She had been replaying the events that had taken place a few days ago over and over in her mind since then. She hadn't dared to go out to the Boardwalk at night again.

message 4: by Morgan (new)

Morgan Marrik had been watching the crowds running into each other and even shoving each other just to get to a seller. There was arguments going on everywhere when people wanted the same item but there wasn't enough in stock. Then someone bumped into him, neatly knocking him down but he caught himself and looked down at the person. It was the girl from the night before.

"Sorry! Didn't see you there... Are you alright?" She asks, stopping momentarily to be kind to the person she had just ran into. She didn't recognize him, his hood was covering his face. She had no idea who it was.

message 6: by Morgan (new)

Morgan "I'm fine." He nodded under his hood. "How is your chin and neck?" He asked forgetting that she didnt know who he was and instantly regretted it because now she may be a little freaked out that a stranger in an alley would know what happened to her.

message 7: by [deleted user] (new)

"W-what?" She stuttered, terror filling her brown eyes. How had this stranger known about her injuries? She absentmindedly touched her neck, where the cut had been. It was almost completely gone. She took a few steps away from the stranger. The first person she thought it was, was the man who had cut her throat.

message 8: by Morgan (new)

Morgan Marrik put his hands in the air, showing he wasn't going to do her any harm. He knew she was frightened and if he made a quick sudden movements she would be fine down the alley. He alley raised his hands up to his good and pulled it down, revealing his colorful feathers and face. "It just me." He told her.

message 9: by [deleted user] (last edited Mar 26, 2014 04:43PM) (new)

"Marrik!" She said excitedly, the terror in her eyes suddenly replaced with excitement at the sight of him. The beautiful colors that she had remembered so vividly made her grin. She closed the distance between them, embracing him in a hug.

message 10: by Morgan (new)

Morgan Marrik's throaty chuckle escaped his lips again as he hugged her, but it was awkward for him because this was probably one of the only hugs he had ever had and he was unsure of what to do because his people didnt hug. Or really touch.

message 11: by [deleted user] (new)

"I got worried when I woke up that morning. I knew you'd taken me home, but I couldn't remember if you'd been hurt or not. Are you alright?" She looked at him with worry in her eyes. He'd saved her and she'd been so selfish, she fell asleep while he could have been really hurt.

message 12: by Morgan (new)

Morgan "Don't be worried." He shook his head. "It's only a few bruises, they'll be gone soon." He shrugged, and a wave of pain went up his arm and to his neck. It hurt but he tried not to show it. He was sore from last night but he kept it hidden.

message 13: by [deleted user] (new)

She didn't completely believe him, but she didn't want to push it. Instead she decided to mess with him. She ran her gentle fingers along one of his feathers. "I see your feathers are as beautiful as ever..." She said, giving him a compliment and a mischievous smile too.

message 14: by Morgan (new)

Morgan Marrik's head cocked as she gently touched his feathers. It was like scratching a dog in just the right spot and making it's leg twitch. He loved the feeling and didnt want it to stop. "They're more of a burden than beautiful." He told her quietly.

message 15: by [deleted user] (new)

"A burden?" She asks, a look of curiosity on her face now. She met his eyes, "What do you mean?" She thought everyone shared the awe for his feathers that she had. They were truly beautiful, but maybe others didn't think like she did....

message 16: by Morgan (new)

Morgan "Why do you think I wore this hood?" He asked. "People stare. They're not good stares either. People stare and then talk and laugh and make jokes, so I hide them. They aren't something people like to look at, well except you." He said seeing people look down the alley at them so he pulled them further in.

message 17: by [deleted user] (new)

Her expression softened as he spoke. Her thoughts were confirmed; people weren't kind to him about his differences. "I'm sorry..... I thought... Look. Don't worry about those people. They don't matter. Friends and family matter." She smiled. "I like you just the way you are, feathers and all, and if others don't...well... I'd say they're missing out..."

message 18: by Morgan (new)

Morgan He snorted. "I don't think they care if they miss out or not." He paused. "Anyways I don't have any friends or family so I guess nothin matters..." He trailed off thinking of his past and what happened to his family. "But anyways, thank you, I appreciate it." He smiled slightly.

message 19: by [deleted user] (new)

She smiled at him, trying to be comforting. "And... What about me?" She asked looking at him momentarily before flicking her eyes to the ground.

message 20: by Morgan (new)

Morgan "Well I guess I could count you as a friend." He laughed. "We have been through a lot together, and you can count me as your hero because I've saved your life twice now." He teased a little looking down at her.

message 21: by [deleted user] (new)

Elora smiled at that. She looked at the ground sheepishly. "Yes, you have.... Thank you..." She says, remembering to thank him for saving her. If it weren't for him she would have either drown or been killed by a mugger by now.

message 22: by Morgan (new)

Morgan "It's not a problem." He shrugged, making another wave of pain shoot through his arm. He grimaced but hid it quickly, not wanting Elora to see he was in pain. He quickly covered it up with a question. "So what are you ping out here today?"

message 23: by [deleted user] (new)

Elora was just about to tell Marrik about the herbs she was picking up for her favorite tea when someone tackled her. She hit the ground hard, frightened, her experience with the muggers leaving her on edge. She tried scrambling away, but whoever had tackled her had latched on tight.

message 24: by Morgan (new)

Morgan (For my sanity can we go in this Order Brynn, Emily,Sydney?))

Marrik's hand quickly fell upon his dagger resting on the side of his thigh. He would stab this stranger if they did anything harmful but by the looks of it they didn't plan to. they must be friends. He thought to himself. He pulled his hood back over his head and stood back.

message 25: by [deleted user] (last edited Mar 26, 2014 06:38PM) (new)

Elora's eyes widened and she frantically looked around for Camden's sunglasses. She saw them about 15 feet away. She crawled on her hands and knees, weaving around people's feet. She grabbed them and crawled quickly back to her best friend, putting them in her hand. She stood up brushing herself off and pulling Camden up with her. "Marrik...this is my friend Camden. Camden this is my friend Marrik." She looked back and forth between both of them, smiling.

message 26: by Morgan (new)

Morgan Marrik nodded under his hood, but they couldn't see it. This was very uncomfortable for him and he didnt like it. He sank into the shadows of the alley where he felt comfortable. He wasn't sure how this new girl would think of him and judging by other people's thoughts of him he didn't want to find out.

message 27: by [deleted user] (last edited Mar 26, 2014 07:05PM) (new)

Elora brushed Camden's little comments off. She grabs her arm, giving her a warning tug, as she gets closer to Marrik. "Camden." She says, her voice firm. She knew how Marrik felt and she certainly didn't want Cam scaring him off!

message 28: by Morgan (new)

Morgan Marrik beame even more uncomfortable. He saw that they were good friends and he didnt want to ruin that. He didnt want to ruin he little reunion they had going on. He became even more self conscious and sank deeper into the shadows. "Maybe I should go..." He said quietly.

message 29: by [deleted user] (last edited Mar 26, 2014 08:05PM) (new)

Elora was satisfied when she saw Camden backing off. She smiled at Marrik, answering the question she was interrupted during. "I'm just here getting some herbs for tea...Rose chai..." She turns to Cam. "Oh I forgot the cinnamon, would you mind?" She asks, pleading with her big brown eyes.

message 30: by Morgan (new)

Morgan "Interesting." He nodded. "I know of a place that sells that at a very low price, maybe we should go there." He suggested, not moving from the shadows so his voice carried through the alley way and if you didnt know he was standing there it would've seemed strange, like a voice with no body.

message 31: by [deleted user] (new)

Elora got very embarrassed at what Camden had said. It was difficult for Arrian's to blush, but this had made Elora's whole face go pink. "Camd-" she called for Camden but she had already walked away. She looked to Marrik. "I'm so sorry..." She said, not sure what to say.

message 32: by Morgan (new)

Morgan Marrik became even more confused. If that was even possible. He hadnt done anything wrong and she just- just stormed off like that with no apparent reason. "I'm not sure what just happened so you don't need to apologize." He told her coming out of the shadows.

message 33: by [deleted user] (new)

She wasn't meeting eyes with him anymore. All she'd wanted was to invite him over for tea tomorrow and she didn't really want an audience.... She sighed, confused and frustrated. "I...umm..." She started, getting nervous and stopping halfway through.

message 34: by Morgan (new)

Morgan Marrik still looked at her even though she didnt look at him. He raised an eyebrow in a silent question that probably wouldn't be answered. "You ummm what?" He asked her, curious.

message 35: by [deleted user] (new)

"I wanted to know..if you'd like to come to my house tomorrow? I got some things for tea...I thought you might like to join me..." She doesn't make eye contact afraid he would simply reject her. She was surprised she had even mustered up the courage to ask him to come.

message 36: by Morgan (new)

Morgan Marrik's face was full of thought. No one had ever invited him over for anything. It was all so new. He wanted to say yes because he was curious o how it would be and he did like being around this strange girl, but on the other hand he was nervous so he didnt know if he should take her up on her offer. With a little bit more thinking he finally decided. "I would love to join you."

message 37: by [deleted user] (new)

A big smile spread across her face, he'd actually said yes!! "Cool, see you at 1:30?" She asked confirming the time for their plans. She was practically beaming, she was so excited.

((Fast forward?))

message 38: by Morgan (new)

Morgan ((Sure haha fast forward to their little date *wink wink* just kidding just kidding))

message 39: by [deleted user] (last edited Mar 28, 2014 12:07AM) (new)

((Haha indeed, can you post on Elora's house?))

message 40: by Morgan (new)

Morgan ((Yeah))

Celine walked through the streets, smiling to herself as she remembered that little joke she had played on a random person on the street. The look on her face was priceless! That's what she gets for bullying a helpless girl.
