Would anyone like to talk about history? Any particular event/time period?

That is an interesting period. I also like some more recent stuff, like 1900s and later. That's just because we know SO much more and it appears a lot more vivid (on the surface) because of that. Imagine if we knew all of the details about the Renaissance that we know about really recent history... WOW!!!
Yes... I think the mystery is so... Intriguing. I mean, I can imagine anyone's personalities any way I like them! Lorenzo could be just as ugly while Giuliano could be the genius and handsome... Or maybe Botticelli labeled his paintings wrong!
Now that's a good point. When I read interesting, unique stories about, say the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory or the strikes before the fire, I can't help but think, "There must have been someone in Rome who had such a different story, too." In a way, I wish we knew more, but in another way, I love being able to use my imagination. (Within a historical context, of course.)
I wish I could travel back in time... My god, I would kidnap Giuliano de Medici before he ran off to church on Easter 1478 and bring him back here/now... Hmm that'd be fun :D
Here is a good history series about the medieval world. The Cambridge Medieval History. This is an incredible comprehensive series.
