question
What happened to Lucy???

I read this book at work, in between tasks, so admittedly my focus & attention at the end wasn't amazing. But, whatever happened to Lucy? Did I miss it? Last I remember reading, it was revealed she was Clive's stepdaughter & Zoe was going to be charged with sexual assault. Anyone know? Please tell me Picoult didn't just abandon that storyline :)

I'm not exactly sure but I think Lucy was being used by Clive as a pawn. Hopefully, Lucy can continue to see Zoe, since Zoe can help her so much. But I'm betting not, and poor Lucy is going to get no help at all. Lucy was a great character in the book, one of the best.
It's been almost three years since I read it, her first of mine too :) I don't know what has happened to her but my prediction is, like the ending of the novel, she is more secure of herself and definitely passed the difficult times of being a teenager. If I also recall, she definitely lives! Something else happened to her that we find out, and is part of the book's topic. I don't want to mention it, in case I already am spoiling it!
Jodi Picoult told me that she thinks Lucy eventually got to meet Zoe again, and that she came to terms with her sexuality.
