Hi, I'm Michael (I write under E. Michael Helms). I've been published in memoir, historical fiction, and I'm now writing the Mac McClellan Mystery series for Seventh Street Books. The first, "Deadly Catch, was published in November. The second book, "Deadly Ruse," is already listed at Amazon for pre-order although it's not due to be released until this fall. Talk about getting an early start! Looks like I'm the only guy in the group so far, so thanks for inviting me, Beth, and I hope to contribute my share. I'm looking forward to hearing from other members, and learning from you (always helpful for a guy to pick women's minds for details to make female characters more believable). Thanks!

Beth,Thank you for inviting me to join. I know more will join, give 'em a minute.
Thank you again,
Debbie
Hi Beth!I've read your book and I'm curious- have you run into anyone in real life that's similar to Dhane? He seems larger than life but truth can be stranger than fiction.

Dhane is a composite of a couple of hairstylists I've known and know of. Going to hair shows and watching the stage presentations is really fun. It's interesting when a stylist can create a hairstyle and be entertaining.
Thanks for you question, Alison. :-)
