Really how important is money? Is it nothing against love and family or is the quote true - 'The world runs on money'?

If your basic needs are not met (shelter, food etc..), then you aren't free to enjoy life

Love and family needs a stable economic foundation to thrive.

Money is very important and I think anyone who says it isn't is lying on some level. You need money to eat and have a shelter over your head...unless you have damn good survival skills.

I think the world runs on money, to a certain extent. Things are measured in terms of money - you either have $400 to put toward your rent, or you don't. You either have $50 to spend on a new bicycle, or you don't - it's very cut-and-dry that way.

That said, money can buy a lot of material things; but I don't think materials make up for love, family, or true friends.
